Won't work for the hyperlink, but for the banner try going with this

1. Right click on the ad
2. From here, go to the option that says 'ad-block'
3. Click 'block this ad'
4. Not sure if you'll have a grasp of HTML/CSS, but a pop-up will come up saying 'blocked element' and have a bunch of code, if you understand the code, check it is the right element.
5. Click 'looks good'

Refresh a few times, on the same page, see if it goes away.
If it does, check another page.

This also works for that floating rewards system m0nty has at the bottom of the page for those who don't like it.

If this doesn't work - some follow up questions,
Is this the only site it happens on?
How long roughly has it been going on?
Do you ever [install] things from torrent sites (cracked files with executable files that you run)?
When was the last time you did this if so/does it coincide with this?

Cheer Sid!

I've run through that and it seems to have killed off the banners for now. Hoping they stay away.

In response to you questions though;

Nope, it happens on basically all the sites I go on (except facebook).
I've ignored the hyperlinks for a few months now but the banners started probably 3-4 days ago and I've lost patience.
Nah no torrents or any major downloads.

Cheers again man

If the hyperlinks have been happening for a few months, could be a program you installed ages ago?

Cool Ele.
So the banners are gone and that's good, that element should be fully blocked now, but will only be blocked for FF.

Want to right click one of the hyperlinks, 'copy link address' [do not actually click the hyperlink, might be a cookie grabber] and then PM me the link?
Sometimes you can crack down what it is by where these links head to..

Ok big banners and stuff I can handle now with the AdBlock. Thanks guys!

Now I did some research on the hyperlink issue and did exactly what this site said to... http://malwaretips.com/blogs/green-double-underlined-ads-removal/

It seems to have worked a treat for now 8)

If they do come back though I will definitely take you up on that offer Sid.

Thanks a ton team!

Np ele, hopefully it stays gone!
