Halp guys,

I have AdBlock for GoogleChrome and its all up and running but I still cop these ridiculous hyperlink ads like this:

And when I accidently hover over them some shower pops up. Annoying as. Also I have been getting this one too. Big banner across the bottom of my laptop:

Basically I have ignored it for a while but its getting as annoying as shower now. Yep I have adblock for chrome and yep I've got virus protection that is updated and has just done a full system scan.

Anyone with any technical nous out there able to help me!? Cheers!

Click the button in the top right, go into tools, then extensions.
See if AdBlock is still enabled, and see if any extensions have been added that you weren't aware of. I had this happen to me about a month ago, and found an extension that I had never installed before which was doing the same crap to me.

I have done that, disabled and deleted the extensions I didn't add myself.

But its still there :'(

Cheers though man!

Hmmm check your recently installed programs in the control panel, might be a virus. I've had a few where the point of it is to just give you a heap of ads so that they get more website traffic and stuff. I dunno though :-\

GL mate you're a bloody legend.

I went through my installed programs and flicked the dodge looking ones. Then I gave the computer a full system scan. It was better but not quite there. Then I come across this little side-app on my virus protection. It was described as an aggressive system scan.

I thought, flower it #yolo. I did it, three virusy looking things were deleted and boom we are back in business!

Thanks man!

haha flower

So you uninstalled all programs recently installed? (as in, after this shower started happening)

kilbluff1985

ok

try right clicking randomly anywhere on the page the ad is on

then go down to adblock

then go to block an add on this page

then select the ad

make sure the whole ad is highlighted not just half of it

then click ok etc should work

Why is she biting her laptop

Kellogscrunchynut

Adblock on mine blocks most of them but not the hyperlinks.
