Nice team :o

Helps if you pick Malone in the 5th when he went in the second round.
Karl went in the 2nd round...
That's a big mistake by Holz if true. I picked Moses Malone too and he told me he was taken  :-\
Oh dear...
Karl Malone went early, Moses is still on the board/was on the board

Mistake by you for not checking.  Not holz fault.

The only Malone taken is Karl Malone

(search "moses malone" in this thread)

NMF has taken Moses Malone.

Whose pick is it?

RiOtChEsS

Vinsanity 2000-2001 PER: 25.0
Vince Carter averaged a beast 28-6-4 with 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks on 46% shooting overall with 162 triples @41% and 77% from the line. He was 5th in scoring, 2nd in PER and 3rd in offensive win shares. In addition, he was selected to the 2nd team All-NBA and the leading vote getter for the All-Star Team. Also he did own it at the Slam Dunk-contest, giving us the best show ever. He did play on a team that started a 35 year old Mark Jackson, a 37 year old Charles Oakley, a rookie Morris Peterson, also played a 38 year old Kevin Willis, a 36 year old Dell Curry, and where only one other guy (Antonio Davis) averaged double-digit points per game. He led his team to 47 wins, then beat an experienced 4th seeded NYK team in 5 games (scoring a 27-6-3 in the deciding Game 5), and coming within one made basket from beating the 1st seeded Sixers in the ECSF. In that series he played at his ultimate best with games of 35, 28, 50 and 39. Vince played his heart out and made his team over perform in 2000-2001.

Ray Allen - 2000/2001
Stats: 22 points @ 48% shooting, 43% 3pt shooting, 5.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.5 steals.
Achievements: All-NBA Third Team, 2nd in 3 pointers made

I needed a low usage guy that could spread the floor for my other guys. His 43% 3pt shooting this season is incredible considering the volume of which he launched up 5.7 threes per game and made 2.5 of them. Ray lead the Bucks in points, steals, PER and win shares.

The only other 2 decent players on this team were Glenn Robinson and a 31 year old Sam Cassell and Ray took his team within one game of the NBA Finals. Ray was at his all-time best in the playoffs:
Playoff stats over 18 games: 25.1 points @ 48% shooting, 48% 3pt shooting, 4.1 rebounds, 6 assists, 1.3 steals.

PG: Oscar Robertson
SG: Ray Allen
SF: Scottie Pippen
PF: Charles Barkley
C: Kareem Abdul Jabbar

This pick gives me great floor spacing and Ray doesn't need the ball in his hands to be a threat so he won't take away from my elite scoring trio in Kareem, Chuck and Oscar.

with Payton Hakeem and Russell my defence is stacked. Need some scoring to go with Durrant and this combo would just be scary.

George Gervin 79/80 5.2 RPG 2.6 APG and 33.1 PPG on 52.8%

just an amazing scorer, who not only puts up massive points but does it very effeciently. Paired up with Durrant both guys shooting above 50% and 32+ points will make it hard to work out where the attack is coming from.

That's a very well thought out and even spread team.

Moses Malone 81-82

31ppg, 15 rpg, 27 PER

Again chose the best available center that was there, not as good as passing as the rest of my players but that's ok when you already have 4 elite facilitators for their positions. Could score with the best of them and with Tim Duncan next to him I think they're a great pairing.

PG - John Stockton
SG - Jerry West
SF - Larry Bird
PF - Tim Duncan
C  - Moses Malone

Love this team. Its solid defensively and offensively.
Only criticism is that I personally would have chosen The Admiral David Robinson.
Easily one of the best centres to play the game. Amazing athlete with a complete set of tools offensively and defensively.

Another solid team. Better offensively than defensively.  But not by much. Love the Big O and Pippen picks. 2 guys who usually get looked over.

Nice.

Andrew3747

Gna go with the truth. 04-05. Again, doesn't need the ball but is an ultimate defender and can hit the shots.

Team ends with

C: Shaq
PF: Rodman
SF: Pierce
SG: Wade
PG: Nash

Will do a write up later. Perfectly balanced, with a high USG Centre and Guard mixed with defenders and ball handler. 3 defensive players that can guard anyone @ any size in Rodman, Wade and Pierce.
