Jake Carlisle (not this isn't a joke)

Seriously, at $269,900, with the lack of defensive rookies going around, how do people genuinely rate him as some defensive cover?

Georgiou, Cutler already out, Bews and Litherland could be at any stage alse. Bomber isn't going to drop Carlisle, FIIIIINAAAALLYY moved back to defence last week for a 91. If he stays there, I see him averaging 70-80 at the very least, CD seem to love him, always have! (when he's in defence, anyway.)

Cheaper than Docherty and Grimes for just as solid scoring potential, a mere $45k or even $90k for Cutler or Georgiou (my bench).

I know what you're probably thinking reading this, but take a breath, consider it, and leave your thoughts!

don't mind it.
only concern is when hurley comes back- what role does jakey play?

ubeaut

If played where he belongs he can score really well.

But I don't trust our coach. When Hurley comes back and /or Ryder/Belly/Daniher get injured he could be up forward where he will struggle.

it's a good idea if you have luxury trades will be good bench cover

Is this a joke...?

Deadset, if we knew he would stay as a backman all year I would grab him, so no  :P

If it was a guaranteed fact that he'd play back every game for the rest of the year, and if desperate measures applied then i would consider. But with that price and role uncertainty its hard to commit to trading him in.

I was just screwing with you because of the title :P

An excellent choice for D7 IMO, Carlisle can go large when on song. If you have Georgiou at D8 then loopholing is a real option. I'll wait a week and weigh up my options but for an extra 50k on Cutler he cannot be ignored.

I would certainly opt for Grimes but if money is tight then Carlisle would be a decent choice.

Bit of a bump.

Named in the back pocket with Hurley back in the side in defence as well. As a Bomber fan I like it, because it means Hooker can float across a bit and do his intercept mark thang without being locked down onto a Buddy for example.

Still no Cutler, Georgiou long gone, and now add Bews to the list of failing rookie defenders.

278k with a BE of 12. Have other priorities this week myself, as I'm sure most do,  but if I could I would be bringing him in!!

Jroo

Wouldn't be the worst option for D7. He can have some monster games. If I had more trades I'd look to bring him in.

On the condition he remains in defence and that is no certainty (Bomber is a stubborn old campaigner)
