Steele Sidebottom, Collingwood, has been charged with a level four engaging in rough conduct offence (425 points, four-match sanction) for engaging in rough conduct against Maverick Weller, St Kilda, during the first quarter of the Round 11 match between St Kilda and Collingwood, played at Etihad Stadium on Friday May 30, 2014.

In summary, he can accept a three-match sanction with an early plea.

Jay Schulz, Port Adelaide, has been charged with a level one striking offence (80 points, reprimand) for striking Neville Jetta, Melbourne, during the fourth quarter of the Round 11 match between Melbourne and Port Adelaide, played at TIO Traeger Park on Saturday May 31, 2014.

In summary, he can accept a reprimand and 60 demerit points towards his future record with an early plea.


Jeremy Cameron, Greater Western Sydney, has been charged with a level one engaging in rough conduct offence (125 demerit points, one-match sanction) for engaging in rough conduct against Jarryd Roughead, during the second quarter of the Round 11 match between Hawthorn and Greater Western Sydney, played at the MCG on Sunday June 1, 2014.

In summary, due to his carry-over demerit points from a previous offence, his one-match sanction must remain at one-match, even with an early plea.

Ryan Harwood, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with a first offence for making negligent contact with an umpire ($1200 sanction) for making negligent contact with umpire Chris Kamolins during the third quarter of the Round 11 match between the Brisbane Lions and Carlton, played at The Gabba on Saturday May 31, 2014.

In summary, he can accept a $900 sanction with an early plea.


Other incidents assessed:
The match day report against Sydneys Adam Goodes for rough conduct against Geelongs Joel Selwood was assessed. The ball is loose following a boundary throw in and has bounced high in the air. Both players have their eyes on the ball, Selwood taps the ball forward and Goodes jumps in an attempt to contest the ball and braces for contact. Contact is made. It was the view of the panel the contact made was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.

Contact between North Melbournes Brent Harvey and the West Coast Eagles Scott Selwood from the second quarter of Sundays match was assessed. After viewing all available footage and receiving a medical report from the West Coast Eagles Football Club, it was the view of the panel the contact made was below that required to constitute a reportable offence.


The match day report against Carltons Chris Yarran for striking Brisbanes Pearce Hanley was assessed. It was the view of the panel the contact made was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.

The match day report against Essendons Heath Hocking for making forceful contact from front-on against Richmonds Ben Lennon was assessed. The ball is loose and Lennon is attempting to take possession. Hocking approaches the loose ball and attempts to gain possession. It was the view of the panel that Hocking was contesting the ball and had no realistic alternative way to contest the ball. No further action was taken.
