Thoughts on these trades

450 K in bank building cash for upgrades. Lots of rookies on bubble...

McVEIGH,SWALLOW,WALKER,HURN,Suckling,Langdon  (Langford,Cutler)

ABLETT,PENDLES,WATSON,BEAMS,PRIDDIS,JPK,Polec,Tyson  (Acres,Hartung)

SANDILANDS,MUMFORD  (Derikx,King)

DANGER,MARTIN,PAVLICH,ZORKO,Higgins,Cameron  (Ambrose,Impey)

Polec plays Dees,Saints so he can wait. Thinking of Langford > Bews.

Unsure of other trade. If Acres out for 6 then > Shenton

or if Ambrose not named > Shenton/Lennon. Then I just upgrade for 2 weeks after.

Any other ideas? I'd love to upgrade now but with so many rookies on Bubble it might have to wait a week.

Stockpiling that much money - given you don't earn interest - doesn't make sense to me.

$$$ = points.

Suckling or Langdon to Simpson or Bartel at some stage but not just yet I reckon. They'll peak and those 2 are top dollar just now.

Cash cows this week are fwd +/- mid so look at Cameron? Higgins? Zorko? Ambrose? to go and grab another premium forward.

Wingard and Buddy seem value now.

Parker looks the business too.

With no def rookies (Bews doesn't inspire me) I would shore up forwards this week

Acres will get games again so no rush to dump I think.

agree with doc in that no sense saving cash, unless playing for a late charge in league. 

and you've got too much cash sitting on DEF bench, with a weakish FWD line.  Langford> Bews is solid.

2nd trade, would look at upgrading impey to whoever you like.  I, myself, keep clear of KPP's so Parker or Gray are your best bets.

Also, give some thought to getting non playing cheapies!  I play the loophole like a broomstick putter, use it while you can before they realise its cheating and ban it.

Cheers 4 the input guys. Some say go 4 Bews others say not - I'm undecided but need to grab rookies/cash where I can - who else will be a back rookie? I'd love to do 2 upgrades but then I miss out on 3 rookies I'm thinking  1 upgrade if any then 2 next round..

Was ranked  around 1000 but had shocker last round need to catch up.

Ok if I look at the fwds - I just got Cameron -  and Zorko not long ago. I could upgrade Higgins but that doesn't strengthen the line as much as Ambrose/Impey traded would.
I could downgrade Ambrose 4 Shenton + then Impey 4 Parker/Gray But that would spend most of the cash and -  where will I get more for upgrades on other lines if I don't at least grab Bews? I see ur point on his JS not inspiring but again how else will I make cash in coming rounds?

Still think next defence change should be either Langdon or Suckling to a premium like Bartel or Simpson.

Should afford all that pretty easily.

Langford to Bews is a good trade IMO providing your other bench defender has JS. I have Cutler and am happy enough making that trade. Enright back next week will be the first nervous week and if he's still in the 22 then... I am sure there will be more nervous weeks following. Langford's cooked, certainly well done...could burn more but in using the cash now I can bring Parker in.
Pros outweigh Cons.

Polec's BE is 123. More than likely will lose cash. The quicker you get to full premo, the better. Personally if I was in your position I would double upgrade Ambrose/Polec to Buddyl/Selwood. Cash generation isn't priority IMO, getting the points on the board and being aggressive to get your rank up is what I would aim for.

Another option instead of Polec to Selwood is to upgrade Ambrose to Buddy/Parker/Gray. Ambrose very unlikely to be selected this weekend so you could upgrade Ambrose, move Jeremy Cameron to F7 and potentially keep Higgins for a while yet.

Cheers. I partly agree and partly disagree. Of course normally I'd try and double upgrade. But I've found the hard way u try and get rookies when u can. There are at least 3-4 on the bubble. If I spend all my cash now and bypass Shenton/Lennon AND Bews I leave myself potentially short for future upgrades. It especially worries me that there are no other Back rookies on the horizon.
But yes if Ambrose not selected he may have to go. I hate Thursday footy - we only get less than an hour after teams released to make final choices.
