Only have 13 trades run the risk with no mid bench

Reviving this thread - is Acres still out for 6? They said 6 but could be more / less? Are people holding, trading? already traded?

Trading for Shenton now or Beams next week would make no money, but at least they will make money.

When /if Acres comes back could always trade him back in if a downgrade target is needed then.

I reckon bring in a def/mid to cover for acres/georgiou etc if u have them.

I'm holding. I have 8 premiums, Buckley & Acres so I shouldn't need to call on M10. I'm trading Buckley to Shenton this week and will only trade Acres if a rookie like Morabito or Honeychurch burst out of the blocks on debut and look like 'must-haves'.

Has anyone got an Update on Acres? On Saints website they said "6 weeks could be be more like 4 - 6 but we'll say 6 at this stage"

I am holding at this stage bringing in Swallow this week and trading Langdon into the mids next week well that's the current LAN except for the fact I have no civet in the mids as I have Acres and Wanganeen do I bring in Shenton this week

Anybody else thinking about doing this trade?

I wouldn't be considering it if I had a lot of cash cows on the go at the moment but with just Hallahan, Hartung and question marks over Cameron's scoring potential and JS, I really need to have one more rookie that can make some cash for future upgrades.

The MID/FWD link is an added bonus too.

Don't wait for Acres. It was an ankle injury, I highly doubt he'll be straight back into seniors once he's up an about, he'll play a few games in the twos to start off with. Either trade him or consign him to M10 for the season, at the very best I think he'll be back around round 19-20 so unless he starts scoring amazingly well around then he's not much use to anyone.

I have Acres and Hartung -maybe I should get Shenton in for Acres. It's barely any money made but it's cover and DPP opens up.

It will be a while until Acres comes back in, so I think brining in Shenton is a good move. Will give you another decent rookie on the bench, plus he will make a bit of cash, unlike Acres.

This. Thought about leaving Acres sitting on the bench for the weeks but can't afford him wasting away not playing, not making money in the lead up to the business end. Shenton in.

I think Shenton is that far ahead of any other rookie at the moment its a joke

I'm not talking about scoring potential (although he showed last week he has it) but with the injuries the Saints have this guys JS is solid to me

They got belted in their last game, but Richardson made a point in his presser to state how impressed he was with Shenton

In regards to trading him for Acres however, that all depends on what your other options are I think, as in who else have you got on the bench

If you had something like Hartung and Acres as your M9/10 then yes I would get Shenton, but if you had something a bit more reliable like Buckley, Hallahan, L.Taylor etc then I don't think its as important

For me personally I am grabbing him but in my fwd line, because I have Taylor at M9 so I am going to leave Acres at M10
