I'm a big fan of this guy, he's actually really good. Definitely worth a look once Pollard leaves.

Yeah this will actually make me go this summer. Guy averages almost 80 in the shorter format IIRC playing both the top teams and the minnows. Highly rate him.

You were close, but a bit too generous.  ;)

From the article:

QuoteTen Doeschate has built an enviable international cricketing career, playing T20 cricket all over the world including in India, Bangladesh, New Zealand, England, South Africa and Zimbabwe, with a strike rate of 138.57. He has played a whopping 235 T20 matches, averaging better than 30 with the bat.

QuoteInterestingly, he holds the all-time best batting average in ODI cricket, with 67. Second place is master Aussie finisher Michael Bevan with 53.58. Ten Doeschate's ODI average purely against test playing nations is still 51.67.

Ohhh Michael Bevan  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*. He was THE MAN!

Those headaches over Kieswetter stealing glove-time from Hartley are irrelevant now.

Do hope the bloke has a speedy recovery though.

Wonder what the Strikers bolwing lineup would be?

Richardson, Laughlin and Botha would be locks.

Then Tait, who you'd imagine they would play.

Then you have Zampa, Sayers, Kingston, Holland etc all for 1 spot. :/

Wowee, more injuries.

Pete Handscomb's broken his finger and will out until January, the Stars have picked up Tom Triffitt (played a few games for the Scorchers in a previous Big Bash). It's disappointing because he was in such good form!

Speaking of good form, Andrew Fekete is in for the Renegades because Jayde Herrick is injured again.

Latest team looking like:

Khawaja, White, Hodge, Hales (Silk)
Wright, Kallis (O'Keefe)
Peirson (Hartley)
Behrendorff, Rimmington, Sandhu, Badree (Paris)

Also, for those who don't know, Tim Bresnan has signed with the Hurricanes to replace Darren Sammy after the first 4 games.

Sweetness

Will Hales be picked in the England ODI's?

Meaning he would miss out on the second game of the Hurricanes Double Game Week?

PowerBug

As long as that flog of an ODI player Alastair Cook is playing, Hales won't be in the ODI side.
Hales has played 1 of the 5 matches against Sri Lanka so far, only because Cook was suspended for slow over rates.

I'm under the assumption that all the batsmen, allrounders and keeper I've picked will bat top 3, which I reckon is pretty important.
