Alright, first crack. Little bit unique I think.

Finch, Pieterson, Hales, Maddinson (Head)
Wright, Henriques (Turner)
Hartley (Peirson)
Rimmington, Badree, Bollinger, Doherty (Paris)

Roughly 100k in the bank to splash on the bowlers probably, thoughts?

Get Dunk in Ele. Hartley is a stodger and wont do that good. Then maybe up Bollinger to Laughlin? Bollinger gets spankeddddd.

I'm second guessing my selection of Wright as an allrounder. The thing is that you really want your allrounders to be both batting and bowling as well as potentially picking up runs from fielding as well, the likelihood of Luke Wright not getting a bowl is pretty high, particularly with the additions of Feldman and Beer.

yeah thats true! He does bowl pretty well but Nige. I reckon they will bowl him. Can only play so many of those bowlers in the team mate. All rounders are value for a team. Not like test matches where bowlers will be from 8-11. A lot of bloks in T20 hold a bat at 8. Like faulkner cutting etc... Its a batsmans game. And a batsmen who can bowl will get used

Nige

That's the thing though, pretty much the whole Stars squad can bowl, even part time.

All the main guys that should get games pretty have bowled part time some point in their careers and I reckon in that 20 overs that they have, they'll probably use other options.

If Faulkner, Hastings, Beer, Maxwell, Feldman, plus then somebody like McKay, Boland or Bird get played, I can't see Wright getting overs.

elephants

I see your point there Nige definitely. He will probs bowl occasionally but he won't get 4 overs consistently. I dunno who else to go though :s

When can we find out if guys like Kallis, Hazelwood ect will be playing week one? Kallis from oversees and Hazelwood 12th man in the Tests

Do I need to wait till teams named or will there be earlier info?

Good point are all teams named before lockout and if so on what site ?

Generally my policy is to stay away from semi-retired players, such as KP, Flintoff and Kallis.

Happy to be proved wrong with someone like Malinga though.

Nige

Team generally don't get named until like just before the game. Some teams post their 13 man squad like the day before though.

Well that makes things interesting you really have to pick your players very carefully then

Yeah toughyyyy. Last year it was the same but and wright still bowled at least a couple overs each game. He opens the batting anyway. If he opens and bowls 2 overs a game. I can justify starting him in an allrounder spot.

KP can be fully retired and in a wheel chair, still pick him :P

I'm a big fan of this guy, he's actually really good. Definitely worth a look once Pollard leaves.

Yeah this will actually make me go this summer. Guy averages almost 80 in the shorter format IIRC playing both the top teams and the minnows. Highly rate him.
