There's been a trade.

Stars have traded James Muirhead to the Scorchers for Michael Beer!
Stars are the losers there I think  :-\

I dunno... Beer has a pretty good T20 record...

Carberry to Scorchers... Is he any good at T20??

Muirhead is a great long term prospect though.

Yeah.... maybe. But he may want to go back to stars when he gets real good haha.

Eh, we still have Clive Rose, Glenn Maxwell and somebody else (I'm blanking now) as spin options who will probably be in the XI.

Edit: Huss and KP is we get desperate.

I think Cliffy and Maxi will be the two we use though.

_wato

So they won't even use Beer you think Nige? Interesting.

Any would Perth want Muirhead? They already have loads of pace men, that's just a very weird trade.

They will, I was just listing other spinning options.

The Stars have a really good squad, so picking the XI won't be easy.

White
KP
Bobby
Feldman
Stoinis
Cliffy
Barrel
Beery
Wright
Maxi
Faulks
Duke
Keath
Hank
Huss
Bird
Worrall
CMac

Picking the XI from that is tough.

Nige

From that I see the XI (providing everybody is fit/available) roughly looking like:

1. Wright
2. White
3. KP
4. Huss
5. Maxi
6. Hank
7. Faulks
8. Duke
9. Feldman
10. Stoinis/Barrel
11. Beery

Either Cliffy or whoever doesn't get picked out of Stoinis/Barrel as 12th man.

He was the 2nd top run scorer in last years UK T20 Blast. Perfect replacement for Simmons at the top order!

_wato

Yeah you're right Q, I got him mistaken for the bald bloke who bowls for the Renegades hahaha, don't ask me why either.

Surely Jackson Bird and Clint Mckay are in that team Nige? Both former Australian short and long format players and both posess the great ability to take wickets and bowl economically (especially Bird).

1. Wright
2. White
3. KP
4. Huss
5. Maxi
6. Handscomb
7. Faulks
8. Hastings
9. Feldman
10. Bird
11. Beery

Just so I could understand who they were without thinking (changed a few names) haha, but wouldn't you go with that?
McKay, Stoinis, Barrel, Cliffy as 12th man, surely?

_wato

Scorchers best XI, thoughts?

1. Carberry
2. Klinger
3. S Marsh
4. Voges
5. M Marsh
6. Turner
7. Whiteman
8. Coulter-Nile
9. Hogg
10. Behrendorff
11. Arafat

_wato

Heat best XI with everyone in, wow

1. Watson
2. Reardon
3. Burns
4. Forrest
5. Lynn
6. Hartley
7. Cutting
8. Hopes
9. Flintoff
10. Johnson
11. Vettori
