Hmmmm. tough one. he wont bowl too many overs will he? bats like mid order too hey?

So after Wright getting -20 I decided to go a bit #yolo with my trades.

Lynn > Carberry
Christian > Bresnan
Paris > Tye

Leaves me with 6 Scorchers: Klinger (c), Carberry, Harris, Turner, Arafat and Tye.

Don't really like Bresnan but had to trade Christian to someone 90k or under to be able to afford to bring in Tye. Hobart do have the DGW next round though.

Also backing in Finch over Lynn despite Brisbane having the DGW in a couple of rounds so he better repay the faith. :P

So with Hogg returning to the Scorchers side tonight, does that put Turner's spot in jeopardy? I assume Agar is available for selection given he is not in the Test team?

Yep, I reckon Turner is gone. purely because they have to either play or 12th man Cam Bancroft (Batsman) tonight. Langer hinted Hogg and Agar will both play, Dorff and Arafat have to play right?

Adam Voges (c), Ashton Agar, Yasir Arafat, Cameron Bancroft, Jason Behrendorff, Michael Carberry, Matthew Dixon, Marcus Harris, Brad Hogg, Michael Klinger, James Muirhead, Ashton Turner, Andrew Tye, Sam Whiteman.
There's a 14 man squad, from that I see the following:

Klinger
Harris
Carberry
Voges
Bancroft
Whiteman
Agar
Tye
Hogg
Arafat
Behrendorff

Muirhead, Turner, Dixon miss for me. Another option COULD be Turner in for Tye, but since Voges bowls spin, Turner/Bancroft will battle it for the final spot. Also Tye vs Dixon for that 3rd seamer spot. Muirhead shouldn't make the XI.

Also this for SA residents:
Adelaide Strikers @StrikersBBL
Ignore your TV guide, @tensporttv have let us know they will broadcast @StrikersBBL v @ScorchersBBL live into Adelaide from 6.30pm tonight.

He's been batting at 5 or 6 I think so I'd hope/think not. However certainly will bowl less overs.

Banked on the Big Show and VCed him, 79 and keeping! Paid off ;D

Unsure of what to do with last trade but thinking of Duffield for Mennie as has double next week

Nige

I think Turner's safe because he's an AR and bats 5/6, might bowl less now though. I think I'll trade him after this week though to be safe.

Rusty00

Everyone agrees he will bowl less, which means he's in the team mainly for his batting, which has been showerhouse so far. My worry is like PB has predicted they will bring in another batsman for him in Bancroft :-\

Nige

Fair point. And I reckon they clearly prefer Agar to Turner, even though Turner bats higher and is a better spinner (imo), but Agar's big hitting sees him elevated in the order from time to time.

Oh well, guess I'll just have to trade him out next week and cop the donut this week.

Adelaide Strikers (13-man squad): Johan Botha (c), Jono Dean, Seb Gotch, Travis Head, Hamish Kingston, Ben Laughlin, Tim Ludeman, Kane Richardson, Alex Ross, Craig Simmons, Shaun Tait, Ryan ten Doeschate, Adam Zampa.

Perth Scorchers (14-man squad): Adam Voges (c), Ashton Agar, Yasir Arafat, Cameron Bancroft, Jason Behrendorff, Michael Carberry, Matthew Dixon, Marcus Harris, Brad Hogg, Michael Klinger, James Muirhead, Ashton Turner, Andrew Tye, Sam Whiteman.

Gotch and Kingston should miss for the Strikers.

If Agar's fine to play then Muirhead and Bancroft probably miss and assuming Hogg plays (which is likely), then it probably will be Turner to miss.  :-\
