Anyway we might be at a bit of an impasse ric... in which case, if you have a close friend/ family member who's gay/bi etc., or know someone who specialises in gender studies, maybe ask if they can explain to you why people are so upset over this situation. Even if they personally weren't insulted or upset, they should at least be  able to explain why other non-heterosexual people might be.

I do. and I have. They did not find it insulting at all.

Just to clarify I certainly do not approve of homophobic slurs. My comments here were based on what was said and how it was said by BT, and that it wasn't offensive. And did not deserve the blow up it got.

I'm happy to leave it at that though.

I think the main point is that it insults people other than Harry Taylor.

Its the same with calling Adam Goodes an ape. You're not just degrading one person, but literally an entire race of people

Both said it wasn't offensive what BT said but that word can be used to offend.

I can't stand most commentators. Dennis was one of the only good ones :(
If they get Basil to do Friday nights I'll watch the games on mute! Can't stand him.

BT and Bruce cop the most stick of any of them but I like them and think they make it exciting and give you a good laugh too.
