Up to 57 players from both the AFL and the NRL will reportedly be informed within days that they face possible sanctions as part of a lengthy inquiry by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA).

I saw this last night:
The Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority's probe into the use of prohibited substances in two football codes is about to enter its next explosive stage, with as many as 40 players from Essendon's 2012 squad

In terms of Fantasy Games this makes me think they'll push bans (if any are given) out til the end of the year

"Athletes can, however, also challenge ASADA by taking their cases to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and if they fail there the Federal Court, which also potentially delays the process further."

Yeah I was never worried about it impacting fantasy teams this year. I saw a few people saying they were steering clear of Watson because of this but I always felt any bans wouldn't occur until next year because of legal challenges.

Any bans definitely won't occur this year. It'll be a long offseason though...

I agree that bans wont be made this year as players have the right to challenge the ruling as well. All of their bans will be for next year

Eh I swear there have been "reports" saying that they are about to be issued before... Wish they would just get it over and done with so we can move on/collapse.

When will this all end! Do the names get made public?
Most certainly not.
Not just yet, anyway.
