Surprised Essendon have the most votes  :o
Didn't they break their membership record last year despite having the biggest cloud in AFL history hanging over them?

yeah it's absurd really

no such thing as bad publicity

do my vote before reading any of the thread.. Good to see i'm not alone on the bombers!

Funniest was my facebook 2 seasons ago. Didnt realize i had any essendon supporters on there. Nek minnit they were 9-1 and it was full of Essendon supporters.. And this is in WA. Hate to see how bad it would of been in Melb!

the same thing would happen to any club that was 9-1

we were woeful end of last, Hird suspended, players facing sanctions yet our membership count still high and supporters still supporting the club

What sort of members. the 10 dollar memberships which get you a hat and a sticker? Or real members which attend games?

what's that got to do with it? your making your judgement based on your facebook wall lol some people cant go to games even though they would love to how much they pay for membership or if they go to games is not even what this is about

Everyone here supports Collingwood  :(

How Richmond vs Geelong at the G only gets a crowd of 34,377 gives them my vote.

tbagrocks

Was surprised to see Richmond that low

How the flower are we bandwagon supporters. When the majority of the AFL world still don't see us as a legitimate threat.

Plus Adelaide also do a pretty good job selling out Adelaide oval i guess they are band wagon supporters as well. Actually Collingwood and Essendon on Anzac Day and Hawthorn and Geelong on Easter Monday was packed i guess they are another 4 bandwagon clubs.

People want to see good football its not our fault other clubs don't possess the necessary skills to bring supporters and non supporters to the football.

Yes we have increased membership this year by 9 thousand which is our highest increase in a year but what was our second highest back in 2011 when we increased our membership by 5 thousand and where did we finish oh thats right 16th.

Even though any good club with a half decent marketing manager should be able to improve a clubs membership tally each year.

Noz

List of clubs that have improved their membership since this time last year

Adelaide
Brisbane
Carlton
Collingwood
Essendon
Fremantle
Geelong
Gold Coast
Hawthorn
Melbourne
North Melbourne
Port
Richmond
Sydney
Western Bulldogs

For an extra 59 thousand members throughout the AFL then this time last year and 12 clubs are looking to break their all time record for members in the one year.

Suppose you can just label them entire 59 thousand members as bandwagon supporters while your at it aswell

It was wet weather and it was Geelongs home game.

Port easily, no one showed up when they were losing, more fabric over seats than supporters, now they're winning they all want to show up

How are Port bandwagon supporters? Because just 2 years ago they played in front of empty stadiums with banners over their seats to hide the embarrassment of having no one at their games. Now that you are winning everyone has jumped on board and filling every game. Crowds will of course fluctuate when teams are going well as opposed to when they arent but ive never seen such a drastic change from a team in my life like Port have had. Where were these people in 2012? Probably Adelaide supporters

Grazz

Yeh Port wins this, it's a no contest really. When the goings good they come out the woodwork when the going is tough you could throw hand grenades into the stadium and not hit anyone.
