Brown never took the ball out

I was sitting right on the 50 metre arc where he took it out. Was out by a metre and a half mate. Massive mistake by the umpires.

Mailman the 2nd

Yeah it was pretty clearly out, the boundry umpire even called it but didn't blow the whistle

Bones Bombers

Toga

Half expected the Lions to give the Dons a run for their money, and they did very well! Rocky & Jobe are beasts 8)

Jazzoskies

Robertson, Gleeson, Ambrose, Merrett... couldnt ask for worse luck haha, Rocky was my only saving grace from that game.

Will take your word on the Brown one , Aaron, as I could not tell from either screen whether the ball was actually out from replays. (My one complaint with the scoreboards at the ground and that has been the subject of numerous emails to the club). FTR My seat would have been diagonally opposite yours but in the upper tier of the Southern stand.

As I said earlier would not make further comment on umpiring as it went both ways so will not start on the ones which may have cost Brisbane goals as well.  Umpiring imo last night was consistently bad for both sides. However will make one comment though I always thought a ruckman could use body contact when tapping the ball from throw ins but apparently this is now classed as pushing after last night. BTW happened to both sides so not a specific complaint just an observation on further rule intepratations,

And aaron agree with you the crowd over that side of the ground and behind the goals  were predominantly Essendon supporters and can I say the crowd was about 50/50 and overall very well behaved. (Even in our members area there were quite a number of Bomber supporters and in fact had 4 sitting beside me) You guys contributed to making this our thirst highest attendance in the last 2 years well done.

And I also believe the better on the night did win but pleased with the effort our boys put in for the 4 quarters.

Joe's kicking is a huge concern

Wasn't too far away from the Chappy hit. He is gone for that. Goose should be ok for the trip on Daniher. Whoever coat-hangered Watson in the third-term in a marking contest inside 50 and then punched him in the jaw with the other arm should get weeks as well. No free kick their either.

I am pretty sure that was Goose.

Ringo

And as I said before think a few players from both sides will be lucky if they do not get cited.  Remember Goose was booked for his trip on Daniher so his will be definitely looked at.

Mat0369

He should have nothing to answer for on the Watson incident. He was looking at the ball and attempted to make a spoil, he just accidentally clipped him in the ear.

Agree shouldn't get suspended but should have been a free

I didn't think he had anything to answer for regarding the trip tbh, but who knows. People have gotten off from a lot worse

I think I remember this incident, and it seemed to be a genuine attempt to spoil.
