African Cup Stays in Cape Town

Cape Town win its 3rd African Cup from 3 attempts! With captain Kennedy winning his 2nd Cupido/Saad Medal for best on ground in this match.

London win another match, with its 4th win from the last 5 wins. Particularly impressive as they have been without a Ruck all year, but that looks to change with Bellchambers to return after the break.

#273
Dublin take out Pumas Again

Dublin Destroyers showed the kind of fire power it has, and they did against the reigning premiers - for the 2nd time in a row. Watson. Selwood. Dal Santo. Rockliff. They are going to be hard to beat.

Sao Paulo struggled, with a massive Ablett effort hiding some deficiencies.

Not that it matters, but this is an example where the loophole backfired for Dublin, lost about 18 points switching captains from Rockliff to Selwood.

Not that it really matters, but didn't I score 158, not 156? I have my final score as 1,576.

Also Dublin only lost 7 points for the captain switch. Selwood scored 140, Rockliff 133.

NY Miss Oppurtunity

New York, in its squad of 18, had 6 players not named to play. In a rolling lock-out, this was a particularly poor effort, with a stunning effort from Tom Liberatore saving them from embarrassment.

New York would have pushed Buenos Aires otherwise, who were down in most areas, with Brent Harvey inspirational. Should be fair and say NY decimated by injuries.

Buenos Aires Armadillos (21.14.140) defeated New York Revolution (19.7.121)

Thanks for the incompetent coaching enabling us to boost our percentage greater than we should have NYR :-X

Ah I see the problem. You must have missed my post where I took White out of the squad and replaced him with Waters. Thus that gave me Silvagni's 66 rather than White's 49.

Cheers :)

Makes no difference to the match, but that tiny percentage change could be the difference between finishing in the top 4 or not :)

Oh and congrats to Holz and Dublin for the win. Sadly they were the only team I could have played this week and lost to! Hopefully can pick up the pieces during the week off and then come back strong against New Delhi.

Glad we have Beijing coming up, need the free week to recover :-X

Who to rest? Stevie J? Boyd? Barlow? B. Harvey? :-X
