Mailman the 2nd

Well there's a ton of outside mids seeing as the qualities needed are really common (speed and decent kicking).

Inside mids need much rarer quailities hence there's fewer of them and more forge AFL careers

I very much doubt Melbourne will be taking a KPF in this draft - Atleast not with their first two picks. Will shake up a lot of mock drafts

Pretty sure if they got Paddy McCartin, in a few years him and Hogan together would completely destroy it. Be stupid not to take him at pick 3.

Every chance he flops as well. Roos doesn't draft KPF's. Much harder to judge at TAC cup level so midfielders have a better chance of making it.

You do understand it's not just Roos who makes these decisions haha. Every chance he could be better then Jesse Hogan. Well worth the risk.

I'd say he'd have a bit of input though  :P. Don't think he'll be better than Hogan  ;) but he could well be worth the risk. I just don't think Melbourne will take that risk.

Brayshaw is an absolute lock for Melbourne. Oozes class, professionalism, and his consistency has been superb all season. Also, he captained the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup, where Paul's son Tyler Roos also played this year, so Roos would have better inside knowledge on him than most other clubs.

Personally I think Melbourne will draft McCartin with their other pick... but they could choose Jake Lever to replace James Frawley.

But boy they have made some blunders in recent years - http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-10-26/they-could-have-been-demons

Going Places

This is a mini-series with stories about four footballers in their draft year, Christian Petracca, Paddy McCartin, Lachie Weller and Jarrod Pickett. It tracks their progress through their draft years but also through personal challenges during their lives. A good read.

How good is this guy... uses his right for set shots and left in general play. Seems like a sam mitchell. Doesnt know what foot he kicks on  :P. Can't see him slipping past pick 3.

29 days to the draft, today is Lachie Weller.

See this guy being fantasy relevant in years to come.

Forgot to do yesterday's, it was Jake Lever.

Today's player is Harrison Wigg.

Also, if anyone wants to give it a go, here's the full list with silhouettes: http://www.afl.com.au/draft/draft-countdown

Could probably work out a few of them by looks + typing some of the higher rated prospects names' into Google and looking at their pics.  :P
