Seven players have been nominated under the Club Academies Rule for the NAB AFL Trade Bidding Meeting to be held on Monday October 6:

Nominated Academy players:
Harris Andrews, Liam Dawson - Bris.
Jeremy Finlayson, Jack Steele - GWS.
Abina Davis, Isaac Heeney, Jack Hiscox - Syd

Kinda surprised the Lions didn't nominate Hammelmann.

Yup great attacking, can kick at least 50. Has got small bags for the Swans reserves and can jump pretty high.

Probably has to work on defensive side

Mr.Craig

Will be interesting to see what happens with Drummond. Can get a ton of the ball but boy, can he butcher it. Against Eastern Ranges he had 36 touches but 16 of his 18 kicks were ineffective.

Sure it wasn't just a heavy downpour wet weather game?

In heavy rain like even at AFL 16/18 being ineffective can be the norm as well.

There's quite a number of hyphenated names going around this year.

He went at about 52% for the whole season. I know people joke about Melbourne weather but it's not that bad. :P

I'd imagine that played a role in him being overlooked last year, along with his lack of games.

Dean Gore a first rounder? Or slide to second round?

I wouldn't say sliding to second round, he's probably a second round talent. Just has a couple too many ahead of him, although this combine of his is certainly helping.

Well if the Saints trade away pick one for 2 picks or something. I hope we pick him up with one of them, looks pretty good and as we can see he is a good kick for goal too...We don't have many of them.

Think he's right on the cusp of the top 20, no chance for our second. I'm really warming to Neal-Bullen, he has the tank, the senior experience and is a clearance machine.

If we go with speed then Garlett or Menadue appeal, it would be a tough call if both were on the board.

if Gore played in Victoria he'd be a Top 20 selection. I've played with him before and let me tell you, from first-hand experience, he is a brute of a lad. Played against Alex Neal-Bullen too and he is an outstanding player. Both are worthy of Top 20 selections.

I rate those two at least on par with Jordan de Goey, and definitely above Connor Blakely, who have been touted as Top 10 picks..

FWIW I'll do an analysis of some of the SA boys in the coming weeks. Got Year 12 exams coming up but I enjoy doing this so I'll squeeze in the time when I can!
