may join Freeman as a recruit from the Lions academy.  Ubergang has matched the stats of freeman when he has been called in to top up Lions NEAFL side.  Has a strong overhead Mark and solid kick for goal.  Will be a solid 4th or 5th round pick for Lions unless forced into an earlier pick under Academy rules.

St Kilda and the Brisbane Lions are both keen on drafting a key forward, with Geelong Falcon Patrick McCartin and giant forward/ruck Peter Wright from Calder Cannons viewed, at least at this stage, as the obvious early selections, though recruiters say there are  fewer  standouts this  season.
