I think the value will lie in the state league players from this point, surprised to see so few selected initially but i guess this has been a dominant trend for quite some time.

is there a list for the picks for the draft next week? I have no idea how it works

Senior list - min 38, max 40

Rookie list - min 0, max 6 (if 38 senior), 5/39, 4/40
+ up to 3 category B rookies

Carlton for example:
37 senior listed players - MUST add one more via PSD or DFA, but can add up to 3 if they choose to.
2 rookies (Wood, Johnson) - can pick 4 more in the RD if they go with a senior list of 38
They also have 3 category B rookies (Sheehan, Byrne, Russell)

Nige

In the example above from meow, to get their list to 38, Carlton will be taking Jason Tutt in the PSD.

As far as I know, every other club has the minimum of 38.

I think Carlton are going to take two guys in the PSD

Ringo

Brisbane have 2 vacancies available with both Cian Hanley  and Archie Smith category B Rookies.  Suspect Andrew Hammelmann will be one selection given our priority access but whether we take up our second selection we will see on Wednesday.

Could Essendon trump the Hawks and take Grimley early? Similar to what Richmond did with Banfield last year.

If it ends out like Banfield did I'm pretty sure they don't want to do it  :-X
