Wont leave me with much cash at all, but enough to do next week's trades so that's all good

Honestly, Shenton is the only rookie I see that has good JS, and all the others are a raffle

As Bews will be my D8, I assume I will never need to rely on him after this week which is why I have chose him. If he keeps playing then great, but wont be surprised if he gets dropped, but as the season goes on D8 becomes irrelevant anyway

mm.. see im going with bews this week and making him my D7 with Georgiou as well.. so that I'm able to move Acres to Wingard the week after.

May change my mind and choose to punt Georgiou > Jaensch instead and trade Acres > Hunt leaving me with Langdon to be moved around on the mid/def bench.. not sure yet

Im a fan of wingard though

So I have decided to take a different path with trades now that teams have been announced

Next week I really want to do Higgins to Shenton and Buckley to Jobe, so that is locked in for next week, meaning that this week is

Georgiou to Bews
Lloyd to Cameron
Hampson to Mummy

Hopefully there is no more surprises and I can actually follow this through

You have a had a lot of good ideas. As long as you are happy with those trades for then next 2 weeks go with it. Personally I would wait a week on Mummy but you obviously know the risk of selecting him.

kilbluff1985

good chance Mummy will get the red vest i think he is to injury prone really i'm sure he will miss more games

RaisyDaisy

TBH I have never owned Mummy in SC ever. This is a first for me, but with a BE of 13 he is projected to rocket up well over 650k in the next couple of weeks, so I feel that even if he breaks down I will actually make a nice profit when downgrading

I am doing alright trades wise, and I am happy to burn one on him if need be

Just watching him this year so far has really impressed me. Physically he just looks incredible, and I expect him to really rough up any opponent and score well. I'm hoping the worst is behind him injury wise

RaisyDaisy

Ended up scoring 1766 for Rd10, and considering I had Bews, Impey and Mummy score 40, Cameron 39, Buckley 43 and Langford 54 I'd say 1766 is a win for me

Thought my ranking would get smashed but only dropped from 1020 to 1146 so I will happily take that! Expected to drop MUCH more

This weeks trade at this stage:

Higgins to Shenton
Buckley to Jobe

Jackross10

Well done rd. Keeping the ranking up there. I got up to 1017 this round is just above you :)

Not sure on the trades, I am holding Higgins but if that is what you think is best, go ahead.

What ranking are you aiming for ?

RaisyDaisy

Nice one JR :)

TBH my main aim is to win my cash league. In terms of overall I am just happy to finish as high as possible, but leagues is most important

Higgins has been great, but I feel as though he has done his job and at 430k with a BE of 87 he is ripe for the picking

Team will look like this entering rd11 if I go with my proposed trades

McVeigh, Hibberd, Swallow, Simpson, Enright, Langford (Cutler, Bews)

Ablett, Pendles, Jelwood, Watson, Beams, Libba, Ward, Tyson (Taylor, Acres)

Mumford, Sandi (Currie, King)

Danger, NRoo, Dusty, Pav, Zorko, Shenton (Cameron, Impey)

Really happy having Taylor at M9 and Shenton in the fwds as I think being able to swap those two will be really handy as the season goes on

11 trades left with 20k in the kitty and only Tyson, Langford and F6 left to complete

Ringo

Are you keeping the faith with Mummy after this round. His B/e has hiked but if gut says OK go with it.

Not sure how you are going to get it but need some more cash for upgrades to finish teams.  Maybe look at double downgrades this week instead if your cash league rules are not based on total points.

RaisyDaisy

Well I just bought Mummy in so I need to stick it out with him and hope he bounces back

Future cash generation is a concern for sure, and for that very reason I am thinking that perhaps I should pick Goddard instead of Watson because the extra 45k would be very useful for future trades considering my lack of cows to cull

Tyson would be extremely easy to upgrade in a few weeks time, but I think it might be better to downgrade him. Hopefully someone like Morabito comes through soon, because if I could downgrade Tyson and make close to 400k, I could just field Taylor at M8, and the cash I make from that downgrade, along with the 65k I would have by getting Goddard instead of Watson would allow me to upgrade Cameron in a few weeks to a premo fwd, and Langford to a premo D6, meaning that the team would be complete with just Taylor at M8 remaining

Thoughts on this?

Ringo

Sounds OK RD. and will work for you/

Just need to consider whether your D6 or M6 premiums will score more than your M8 premium. Know it is hard to decide but something to consider which line to finish first for maximum gain especially if your cash league is based on most points.

Vinny

Unlucky with Mummy dude, haha I'd be pretty annoyed. But should be good in the long run.

Those trades look pretty good on paper.

Only a few upgrades left so you should be right. Keeping Tyson was a Masterstroke man haha. He will be an easy upgrade to a super premium which is nice.

Nice rank and good luck. ;)

RaisyDaisy

Haha Vinny yeah Mumford was a disaster on the weekend and I will be filthy if he doesn't do well this week

I kind of expected a lower score being his first game back in 6-7 weeks, but 40 was LOL

Seems like most people will have a complete team sooner than I will, but I am currently sitting on top in my cash league, so making sure I continue to do well there is my first priority, and if I can maintain a good overall rank that's cool too, but not crucial

After my trades this week, I might have to sit tight and just wait for some of my newly traded in rookies to make me some cash

RaisyDaisy

Scored 2456 for rd11 and to my surprise moved up from 1146 to 698 overall :)

At this stage I don't see any downgrade options this week so might just sit tight and not trade, unless teams on Thursday throw a curveball

RaisyDaisy

Rd12 was poor scoring 2271. Dropped from 698 to 770 overall which isn't bad at all considering my entire backline scored like spuds and Tyson choked

I will look into trades later tonight

Tyson to SJ and Watson to the best mid I can afford will be my trades - Just need to see who I can afford! :)
