Cobras get the win, but lose a point

Cape Town had a strong victory over Tokyo, but a coaching infringement means they take away only 3 points instead of 4.

Tokyo weren't disgraced, but had a couple of issues across the park.

Tokyo Samurai (19.17.131) lost to Cape Town Cobras (21.13.139)

Best
Tokyo: K Jack, L Dahlhaus, M Suckling, L Parker
Cape Town: JP Kennedy, S Higgins, A Cooney, D Tyson

Substitute
Tokyo: J Sheringham subbed in for S Mitchell

Reserves
Yuzawa Typhoon (7.7.49) defeated Cape Town Cobras (6.7.43)

Best
Yuzawa: Nil
Cape Town: M Crouch
Who needs a coach when you have a team this good.

So proud of the boys :')

Also, I know I should've raised this earlier but don't I lose a point after 2 infringements? I know last time was a true flower up and probably considered an infringement, but I remember Oss saying:

Both you didn't name a team. I should just name a team for you, and have the Lions/Tigers players locked. But think will give this choice:

- Name a team by Saturday, but you can't name any Tigers/Lions players
now I know shower got confusing, I flowered up etc, but I did sort of follow this one.

Actually I'm probably in the wrong but just checking. Sorry again guys for not being as dedicated of a coach this year as I have been in the past. I promise I'll make an effort to improve! I've just taken some serious time to adjust to Uni/college life; well that's my excuse anyway  :-[

Nige

Uni students have all the time in the world.  :P

But yeah, I know how tough the transition can be. Took me the whole first semester to settle in my first year.  :)

Yeah unfortunately you didn't chumpy. You did name a team, but in it you named Cotchin as VC, which you weren't allowed to do since he had already played. So it ended up being ossie naming you a team and giving Cotchin the captaincy.  :-\

Sorry about Barlow Nails, my fault. :-\

At least we got the win.

Nothing wrong with Barlow mate, I also backed him in.

He scored 88 which was higher than J. Kelly and D. Cox who were the only two that stood a chance lining up instead of him. Barlow was solid and good call. We did well I think :)

Dropping Cox #greatcall

Dilos!!!!!!! Premiers 2014
Yeah that's true man.

I'd expect him to be back to his best next week.

Yeah Dillos! 8)

Yeah, that weekend was a real stuff up on my behalf. Ah well. Hopefully it doesn't cost us a spot in the finals, although I think loses to Beijing and New Delhi already have  :-\

If you're ever having a busy week mate just message me on here. I didn't receive anything this week so I assumed you'd be right to name the team.

London Back in the Pack

London have won a third game without a ruckmen, but it wasn't pretty.

New Delhi's captain choice proved killer.

New Delhi Tigers (18.12.120) lost to London Royals (19.15.129)

Best
New Delhi: L Montagna, D Talia
London: J McVeigh, D Hannebery, D Rampe

Late Changes
New Delhi: D Talia & M White replaced B Stratton & S Wellingham
London: C Mayne replaced J Brown

Reserves
Mumbai Elephants (12.13.85) defeated Imperial Princes (9.11.65)

Best
Mumbai: N Robertson, R Bail
Imperial: Z Tuohy, W Hartung
Really thought Basti would go well against GC and didn't expect Montags to do so well in such a big loss :(

elephants

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

Basti has been in pretty gross form but was too good a player to keep sucking. We thought this was the game where he had the greatest chance to turn it around. Moral of the story, never bet against the champ (Joey) even when he's playing the ball-hogging reining premiers at the MCG when rain is forecast :'(

If he's not your perma-captain for the rest of the season, the New Delhi faithful might protest I reckon.  :P

If they are doing a pretty bad job, just outside the 8 on percentage.

yep equal 7th with 3-4 record. We're the Port Adelaide of 2013

Geez poor form lads, if we really were tanking I would have accepted unders for Joey and written-off this season.

As it stands though, we're only percentage out of the 8 AND percentage away from your mob Nige. So if you're putting in 100% and we're tanking like you claim, that makes your team look a little average, no? ;)

I knew that our side with all our injuries and outs wouldn't be able to match the Royals so I decided to go extreme with captain selections in the hope something big could happen.

Haters gon' hate.
