Mailman the 2nd

While it certainly is true that is much harder for full-forwards now and you can't really compare different time frames but Fevola and Cloke's careers overlapped for 5 years.....

kilbluff1985

it't his marking i'd be more worried about it's shocking currently

He has still been overrated.

In his "elite" years, he wasn't very accurate. He was getting perfect delivery from pretty much the best midfield in the competition at the time. If he was in a mediocre side, he'd do flower all.

This.

absolutely no evidence of that.  Just a hypothetical.

every one would agree that Cloke has trouble kicking for goal
but to claim he is a spud for that fact
well then Matthew Richardson is a spud too
Travis Cloke's strength is his marking
he needs to be isolated in the fwdline 1 on 1 more
(which opposition realize this and get a third man up etc)
so collingwood need to get the ball in quicker and have there 2nd and third tall forwards drag their opponent up the field
(something White does do but who is there third tall? closet is probably Goldsack and his a defensive foward at best)

anyways some stats to show exactly what i mean

2007 - 8th for marks in AFL (186) - 6th for contested marks (36)
2008 - 16th for marks (159) - 12th for contested marks (40)
2009 - 14th for marks (155) - 12th for contested marks (32)
2010 - 7th for marks (171) - 1st for contested marks (66) 2nd J.Riewoldt (54)
2011- 1st for marks (192) 2nd B.Gibbs (174) - 1st Contested marks (95) 2nd J.Podsiadly (57)
2012 - 4th marks (157) - 1st Contested marks (73) 2nd T.Hawkins (54)
2013 - 2nd marks (190) - 1st contested marks (58) 2nd M.Pyke (52)

(obviously the numbers in brackets is what they got)
so as you can see to claim he is overrated having lead the Whole AFL for the past 4 years in contested marking doesn't make sense at all

now after all that i feel dirty having stuck up for anything to do with collingwood :P

Ha ha, if only Richo received the delivery Cloke does... let's not forget he almost won a Brownlow on the wing. 282 games, 800 goals vs 205 games, 361 goals, no contest.

The Channel 7 news snippet/preview thing just said "A big money Magpie could be headed for the twos" and showed Trav.  :o

typical ...his price is almost right for a permanent bencher and he is unavailable... >:(

tbagrocks

Well, at least he must be a decent and loyal person, unlike that flog Jack Gunstan ::)

Donnie Brasco

Wait a minute, didn't he hold the club to ransom?

Tony Shaw suggested it. Don't think it will happen.

it was a question a kicking accuracy not brownlow efforts
and richo had some pretty good midfielders delivering him the ball as well that wasn't the tigers problem there problem has always been they have 1 major goal scorer and nothing else (richo and now riewoldt)

tbh cloke would be 10 times better if he was a CHF not FF
he has the tank to play CHF and has the marking ability
in more of a riewoldt type role
you see sometimes when the ball isn't getting down to hm he comes up on the wings and gets the ball yet then has the capacity to double back into the forward line and put on leads there

Mat0369

Since I am too lazy to do it myself, can someone chop Cloke's head in? I think it is fitting

Big Mac

Just thought i'd mention that during the week, I got a through and through collingwood supporter to admit that Cloke is a spud. It was a glorious moment
