Thanks guys. I have enough cash that I could upgrade Polec and Langdon right now to anyone really. Was thinking of
Polec > Goddard and Langdon > Jaensch which would give me plenty of cash to get Parker in the forwards the next week and hopefully SJ in the following week or 2 to complete my mids

quinny88

Score of 2,443 has brought me to a rank of 1,397 which is my highest for the year  :)

Current team:

D: McVeigh, Burgoyne, Simpson, Swallow, Jaensch, Suckling (Langford, Georgiou)

M: Ablett, Pendles, Rocky, Selwood, Beams, Watson, Goddard, Hallahan (Hartung, Acres)

R: Sandilands, Goldstein (Currie, Thurlow)

F: Dangerfield, Gray, Pavlich, Martin, Buddy, Taylor (Impey, Cameron)

12 trades $338,100

Possible trades:
Taylor > Parker

This trade completes my forward line and leaves me with around 100k to get SJ in for Hallahan next week. I need to find a rookie to get in for Langford though to make the necessary cash.

Any suggestions??

Ringo

I would hold Langford for another week if named Quinny but up to you.

Not a lot of defensive downgrades available.

Litherland is one but bench of Georgiou and litherland looks weak. Litherland JS the issue although expect him to remain in this week.

Other options to look at are Dea from the Tigers but you would know what his JS is like; Aylett from Bombers but his JS is not good either.

Maybe look at someone like Dylan Grimes or Jake Carlisle to downgrade too as these although not high scorers will give coverage if required.

Thanks for the feedback Ringo.
Yeah I really dont see any defensive rookies popping up but need a way to make cash to complete my team.
None of my other rookies are fattened enough to make the cash. May just do Taylor > Parker this week and hope that something pops up next week

Nightmare week :( Got SJ in only for him to be a late out. That along with Beams gave me 2 donuts!

Rank slipped back to 2,917.

On a brighter note I can finish my side!

D: McVeigh, Burgoyne, Simpson, Swallow, Jaensch, Suckling (Langford, Georgiou)

M: Ablett, Pendles, Rocky, Selwood, Beams, Johnson, Goddard, Hallahan (O'brien, Acres)

R: Sandilands, Goldstein (Currie, Thurlow)

F: Dangerfield, Gray, Pavlich, Martin, Buddy, Parker (Impey, Cameron)

9 trades, $256,300

Trades:
Impey > Stefan Martin
Hallahan > Fyfe

Gives me a decent bench cover player for both forward and ruck with Thurlows dpp

Thoughts?

Donnie Brasco

Nice team and trades Quinny, can't fault them.

Fyfe's an absolute gun and Stefan Martin will come in handy, much like Hampson earlier this year.

quinny88

Thanks donnie, will definitely be going ahead with these trades.

Ringo

Nice position as well Quinny with cash and trades.

Like the trades as I think getting Fyfe now is preferable to sorting defence.

How much cash after the trades as you will need a bit to sort out defence especially with both Langford and Georgiou not playing.

Thanks Ringo.
Will have basically no cash left after getting fyfe.
May just have to wait until a worth while defensive rookie comes along

Really good week pushed me up to 1,853

Team is finished but with poor depth so a little unsure weather to continue working on it or just sit in it for now

7 trades left, $33,600 in the bank.

D: McVeigh, Burgoyne, Simpson, Swallow, Jaensch, Suckling (Langford, Georgiou)

M: Ablett, Pendles, Rocky, Selwood, Beams, Johnson, Goddard, Fyfe (O'brien, Acres)

R: Sandilands, Goldstein (Currie, Thurlow)

F: Dangerfield, Gray, Pavlich, Martin, Buddy, Parker (S. Martin, Cameron)

Martin provIdes back up for both the rucks and forwards with thurlows DPP.
Obrien in the mids is poor cover. Would love to find a way to get Miles in their.
No cover down back

Any help appreciated!

Vinny

Looks good with 7 trades man.

The team is very similar to my own. Only PODs:

McVeigh to my Bartel.
Suckling to my Hurn.
Selwood to my Murphy.
Gray to my Zorko.

Plus you've got an extra two trades on me as well plus Martin as great cover.

Probably not worth it but Langford to Zak Jones & Acres to Miles? Just a suggestion.

Ringo

With 7 trades left is it worth Langford to say Weller or Laidler who will play games and pocket another 40/50k. Gives you that guaranteed defensive coverage.

Thanks mate, yeah I would really love miles but worried Zak jones will be pushed out pretty quickly.
Are there any other defensive rookies on the cusp?

Yeah I may have to look at an option like this all though I prefer miles as my mid cover than one of those guys as my defensive cover.
Don't really trust obrien as my mid cover. May be forced to do it though as there are a lack of rookies around

Ringo

O'Brien only played his first full game last week and now being permanently promoted to Senior list may lift and get more game time.  You can afford to keep him with his low B/e this week.

Would seriously look at Weller though as he still has a negative B/e priced at $282k and will give you at least a 60/70 average. Last 2 games against Geelong and eagles 97 and 80 and looks to have cemented place in Saints back line. Solid bench cover. Seriously considering him myself this week.

Your decision though.
