Can anyone help me think of a good fundraising idea?

I have 56 days to raise $1428.28 if I want to reach my $5000 goal and get a grant in my grandpa's name. I was thinking of doing some kind of countdown related event where the number of days remaining when I reach my target is the number of "something" I do but I can't think of what that something should be. Thoughts?

The blog died, unfortunately, when uni consumed my life. I have a list of ones I didn't post about though and will likely do a summary post or something if/when I start something new this year. You might even be on the smaller list of ones I haven't actually completed yet. In which case, you'll be done some time in the next couple of months now that I'm finally settled in Sydney with work.

I know it sounds like a showerty copout, but all the blogging (and even just all the giving up on its own) was exhausting, and I just didn't have the mental energy to do it while trying to do final year eng.

It puts me in a terrible position for my next charity idea(s) because I need to go bigger and better if I want to raise more funds but the things I've been doing the last couple of years were too much for me and caused me to burn out big time!

I'm hoping I can get work involved in my fundraising sometime soon. Already joined the CSR committee (basically the charity/fundraising committee).
