Will Minson

Just wondering what you guys reckon about big Will this season?

He's obviously started the season a bit slow, but if you take out his round 1 score against Cox, Naitanui and Sinclair, he's still averaging a tick under 100.

My plan was to jump on him for Shaun Hampson when Richmond has the bye in round 8.

Minson will be cherry ripe in another week or two, but is he worth jumping on?

Rucks seem a bit tricky this year- the 2 clear best rucks of last year have started a bit slow in Mince + Goldy.
I have the big Mince and of course will hold in the hope that his scores will improve.
Reckon that your best option is to take a good look at the draw ahead, and go with ya gut.
That being said, the way Hampson is scoring you should probably ride him until either: injury strikes, or he starts scoring lower than one of the big guns- nothing to lose by trialling this.

They certainly have been a pain!

Hampson will most likely go out of the team when Maric is fit (another few weeks) as I can't see Richmond playing those two plus Griffiths.

Might wait and see if Minson tons up over the next fortnight. He's due for a few big ones!

Apart from his first game he has been playing solidly. He is still racking up hitouts and getting enough touches to get consistent scores. He somehow managed to shower out an 87 last game after being on 0 at quarter time. I think he will be consistent and durable and he doesn't share ruck duties with anyone.

I agree, he has been reasonably consistent.
It's just when compared to last years scores he is considerably down on output sc-wise.

I am sticking with Hampson and Sandi for as long as possible (or until Hampson gets replaced by Maric) because right now there are no rucks I am interested in. I'm happy to wait and upgrade them once someone steps up besides Jacobs. Hoping NicNat can have 2 decent weeks then I will jump on

Will be upgrading Hampson when Maric is back.. 2-3 weeks I read? is that including VFL games etc?? perhaps Minson will be the best bet for the back half of the year..
