Which one has done enough, and unlikely to make any more cash?

Dunstan > Robertson

Tyson > Robertson

Templeton > Robertson

I was tossing up between Dunstan and Tyson (Don't have Eli) and decided to punt Dunstan, only because he has made 187k and Tyson has only made 100 or so, so I want to squeeze another 30k or so out of him to justify the trade to myself

Yeah that makes sense. Although Eli may not have it in him to score much more. Was also subbed off last weekend. I always thought he was at risk of starting as the sub which could yet happen. Will make my decision easier if that was the case

Having the same dilemma with Ellis instead of Eli. Leaning towards Tyson JUST due to the team he plays for and he seems to be slowing down -although he is older than Dunstan so it should be the other way round.

Ellis could even play this round (according to WCE website) and should make more. I know he has a high BE but after a few decent scores it will be negative BE again. This has happened to many a rookie in the past.

Yeah I also have Ellis but just considered him gone. Once he gets that 2 out of his rolling average though he will start making money again. Has a handy bye to

But then he'll sprain his little wrist with that pretty soft red hair on it and make you regret getting him but I guess you'll be pleased that you have that (in comparison) robust and indestructible Missy Higgins to fall back on.

Haha point taken  :P

Still, I am pleased he played that last game in 2008, so it's not all hate.

Just such a shame he hasn't been able to stay fit.

I would say dunstan. Im seeing how tyson goes this week and if he stinks will upgrade to a premium

Slightly uninformed comment given I don't know your full team but Ellis with a round 9 bye is surely no more or less handy than Dunstan or Tyson with a round 10 bye? It's round 8 most people are in trouble.

I'm trying to decide between Dunstan/Tyson and Ellis and I think it will be Ellis at this point... made 120k, was always an injury risk and if you don't punt him now you'd have to hold him til after the byes just to regain value in him. Will see if he's named this week.
For you quinny out of those three I would have to go with one of the saints, and probably Eli. Dunstan should hold his spot and can get good scores, Eli surely a bit shakier JS and his scoring isn't doing much for you (though I assume he's on the bench!). I'm assuming that whichever two you don't trade you'll hold until after round 8 at least, so it becomes a case of which 2 are most worth having, for me thats easily Tyson and Dunstan. Templeton realistically might not go anywhere so may as well consider it dead weight and swap to a better cow. The only argument against it really is that he hasn't made much really, about 70k, so it's a bit of a loss on a trade - I just don't see much upside to keeping him, whereas Dunstan and Tyson should at least hold their value and see you through byes.

I refer to your comment about the 'loss on a trade' since only $70000 made.

I like to think that if a player has been in my side since round 1, then trading him for a cash cow doesn't actually waste a trade.

I would look at Templeton as a + $70000 and add that to the $120000 (maybe) Lloyd will reap and call it one trade = $190000.

Sure, if you've got Eli in and it cost one of your 30 trades, then not a great cash cow so I agree.

PS I don't have Templeton - can't stand then hair.  ;)

Yep fair point doc. Will be like Georgiou in my team, might have to accept that 90k return could be his limit, still nothing to sneeze at - and if he can get back to 60s then look out! :P

tor01doc

You'd think 60's would be gettable!

Plenty of opportunities.

Just because Ellis is one of only 6 players in my side with the round 9 bye so I am a bit over stacked with the other byes. Not a big issue though but now that hes not playing it may be worth holding him as he wont drop any cash this week.

Well I am leaning towards getting rid of Eli and Tyson and bringing in Nroo via taylor to mids
Then next week Ellis down to a rookie and Dunstan to Watson.

So round 7 my mid/fwd line of will consist of

Ablett, Pendles, Beams, Rocky, Watson, Polec, Crouch, Rookie (Robertson,Taylor)

Nroo, Danger, Martin, Pav, Franklin, Fasolo (Impey, JKH)

Just have to find the right rookie to bring in next week in the midfield. Preferably a round 9 rookie
