Anyone considering Ebert?
Looks like Swan can wait till Rd9. Griffen has only scored 102, 117 the last 2 against GWS and Carlton with 2 very poor scores before that. I would like to see another good score or 2.

Rule #532 of SC: Only pick cheap premos who have dropped due to injury, not form.

Griff was injured and the first few weeks were his version of a preseason.  Swan was simply out of form.

Griffen hasn't been very convincing so far. Yeah he's posted premium scores in the past - But he has Boyd/Macrae/Libba and even Dahlhaus to contend with, who are all travelling pretty well. I'm sure we'd all agree that Libba has some upside, so how does Griffen get back to 115s?

Personally, for me it's Swan - Watson - Griffen

I already have Libba, and Griffen has only had 1 elite year. He is by no means a bad pick, but Swan and Watson are probably slightly ahead for me in terms of priority

I am doing a double downgrade this week, so next week I will look into this more, and get to see how Griff goes this week too

I think l'll be going swan this week, his a proven scorer over the years. Griffen i dunno about him for some reason i guess it's that back issue that could possibly flare up that worries me

One thing I noticed on the player profiles is past season averages. Swanny has the runs on the board. Griffen only has one premo season. What happened to Ebert's average last year? Thought he was a premo.

I entirely agree with everything posted above and if I was more comfortable taking on another r8 bye you probably would have swayed me to Swanny.  That being said, here's hoping Griff avoids any drama and goes about his business to average 115+ from here on out.

This.

Swan has always been a slow starter and picks it up from Anzac day onwards. Taking out the bye factor i think he is the way to go. I guess it comes down to how much the bye factors into your long term plans.

I've had a change of trading plans.

Was going to focus on getting Hibberd and Simpson in but think I'll go Tyson > Lloyd this week and Ellis > Swan.

Next week Higgins > Honeychurch (will get a game any time now) and Dunstan > Griffen.

Will then have following midfield of Ablett, Watson, Beams, Griffen, Swan, Libba, Polec, Crouch (Kelly, Taylor)

Swan and Griffen just too cheap to pass up I reckon.

Will concentrate on my backs after that.

Thoughts?

Good to see someone asked this question, both under value big time. One of these players will be in my team by end of the week.

Hagebear

Griffen for me purely due to his bye.

So much talk about the bye.

Taking that out of consideration, who do you think will average more.

Swan will, he has the record to back it up. I will be targeting both.

Ablett  ;D
Pendles  ;D
Beams  ;D
Rocky  ;D
Libber  :-\

so far

So where do

SJ
Jelwood
Swan
Watson
Griffen
Ffye
Barlow
JPK
Steven
etc

all fit in my star studded line up?

Carn

If Swan gets a 120 he goes up 20k.
If Griffen gets a 120 he goes up 10k.

If your worried about byes or getting rookies this week, you can wait a week for both IMO.
