Douglas straight to judiciary, Glass 1 match, Greene 1 match, Schneider 1 match
Ballantyne get a reprimand

Koby Stevens and Liam Jones both cleared

How the hell does Douglas go straight to the judiciary?

Nige

Scott D Thompson also got a week.

Douglas will be gone for a few. :( Ward was concussed and subbed out iirc, and Fyfe got 2 (for a hit that most thought wasn't bad at all). Not looking good.  :-\

Mailman the 2nd

extremely strange that they went to the tribunal for douglas, seemed a fairly straightforward decision to me

MGK1

Darren Glass what a complete joke, should be much more!

QuotePlease contact James Avery at the AFL on 0447437037 or via return email if you require this to be explained further for accuracy in relation to the two separate charges outlined above for player Ballantyne

Is this new or what?

eagles players always get a let off at the tribunal (see: Beau Waters), the AFL need dat WA financial goldmine

Hagebear

If Richard Douglas gets suspended, even for a week.... AFL is dead to me!

RookieDTer

Am I the only one that thinks Glass' hit was fair?

He shephered/bumped when the ball was within 5m, and got him in the body.

That's farkked.

Hard to say Haggy, especially as a Port supporter, but if Glass gets 1 for his, Douglas should be let off. I thought Glass's was more dangerous, or should I say, could of done a lot more damage than  Douglas's bump,  But to my way of looking at things, Douglas had a choice of what he'd do, where as Glass seemed to wan't to put Wingard in hospital. Sorry to Crows and Eagles supporters, I think they should both go, but Glass should get more games than Richard does, which may or may-not happen

Mailman the 2nd

Tribunal means no early plea, so he'll definitely be out for a minimum 1-2 weeks, although given track records Douglas is probably out for 3-4 weeks

yorgis

Watch Glass coming toward Wingard, his eyes are at the body and not the ball coming in over his head. He should have got more

and as for Douglas, he deliberately chose to bump Ward, collected him high and concussed him, and had no further part in the

game. He should have shepherded him and as he chose to bump, has to go

Thanks for adding absolutely nothing to this thread! Premium as always champ.

Douglas result:

AFL Tribunal ‏@AFLTribunal  1m
The jury finds the incident was reckless, high contact and high impact.

That is a grade four rough conduct charge that carries 425 points.

Why should glass have got more?

He bumped someone who was trying to contest a marking contest, didn't collect them high, when the ball was within 5 metres.

Should have been play-on, not a 2 week penalty!

As to Douglas, yea, high impact, high contact, will definitely get games, and should get 1 or 2.

Here are my thoughts on it. The thread got locked so I can't quote it.
But it shows that he took his eyes off the ball, left the ground and collected Wingard front on. That should have gotten 2-3 weeks
