This is why i would prefer Goodes to play FF especially when the full press is on.

He is no good on defensive pressure and that is the what the game plan requires him to do at the moment.

Keep Goodes in side the 50 at all times, the problem then is that when Buddy comes back Goodes goes in to the mids as well

Mailman the 2nd

Yeah thats very true. A lot of the times his poor presure was happening on the wings and so it was getting counter attacked too quickly for the backline to respond(and they were really strong as well).

That'd definitely where Buddy comes in, I'd even rather see Tippett there than see Goodes tbh

The 2s finished the regular season in 2nd and had the week off last week end when the elmination finals were on. Swans now take on NT Thunder on Sunday whilst top of the table Giants take on Aspley on Saturday. Both games are at Blacktown. This means that emergencies for the 1s will be able to play on Sunday

An injury revaged Lions finished 9th whilst Gold Coast didnt get a win finishing at the bottom of the table.

Will be interesting to see if he gets in the team or not

So Xavier Richards is signing for 2 years, makes me assume he'll be senior elevated at the draft. Good to see he's still in the future, because I hadn't heard a whole lot about him

SydneyRox

article says he will be elevated for next year

opps just created another thread for this, oh well.

Yeah im the same, heard good things about him in 2013 but nothing this year other than he was injured for a while

Mailman the 2nd

Think they have him in mind as a long term replacement for his brother

but isnt he more of a rebounding HB? like Macca

Mailman the 2nd

Reckon that's why we haven't heard about him since his debut, we're gonna try and do what we did to Richards and Grundy and change his role into a key defender

Capper

Aliir and AJ are a couple of Tall key defenders to come back as well.

Didnt relise that X is taller than his brother. Imagine if he was a key back and could also be used as a rebounding HB

X is ready for the NEAFL GF this weekend

Strange quirk of the draw that Swans and the Aspley Hornets have not met in the NEAFL at all this year yet the both make the final.  And in another quirk Hornets finished 4th and get to play the GF on their home ground. (Graham Road is the home ground of the Hornets),

Swans on current form should be too strong for the Hornets and the small Graham Road field will suit them.
