Mailman the 2nd

wow didnt expect that.

Titch could come in for Rampe now

Mailman the 2nd

What suprised me was that Geelong had a full strength midfield and got absolutely destroyed.

No doubt that no Lonergan or Enright pushed the margin somewhat and made it a lot easier for the forward line but it was still a 50+ point margin just looking at midfield dominance.

Hopefully Rampe isn't too knocked up and his knee is only a minor complaint.

I think Goodes will get a 1 week holiday for the bump on Selwood because he jumped and caught him high

Never mind just listening to Horse's press conference he says Rampe's knee was just a bit sore so they subbed him off and they reckon he's a strong chance to play next week

Need a fully fit team to take on the Suns though. And Rampe might get the week off and not travel up to the Gold Coast. Not sure on Goodes, bad record so may get a week. Alot of fringe players ready to come in though *rubs hands together*

I dunno, with a bad record he might get 2- an intentional, high bump even with low impact is still worth 250 points/ a level 2 offence... if he has a bad record he doesn't get the option of an early plea does he?

True, peo[ple can say what they want about the fact that Lonergan and Enright were out, but it was in the engine room where the Swans were on fire. 75 I50s for the Swans last night for 22.16.148

just imagine if we had kicked straighter.

Lets put a lid on the favourite tag though *puts lid on it* Freo are coming in to some form and Cats and Hawks have injury concerns whilst Port are still at the top of the table and GC can move inbto 2nd with a win over the Crows

No he gets  a 25% discount for an early guilty plea but im not sure on how much loading he will get

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFL_Tribunal#Residuals.2C_additions_and_deductions
QuoteA player with prior suspensions over the past two years is subject to an additional penalty known as loading. For each week in excess of two that a player has been suspended over the past two years, he receives an additional penalty of 10% of the current offence's original base score, up to a maximum penalty of 50%; e.g. a player suspended for three matches will receive a 10% loading, while one suspended for seven matches will receive a 50% loading. (Prior to 2013, the relevant period was three years, and loading began with the first match suspended.)

Any player with more than six years (increased in 2013, previously five years) experience who has not been found guilty of a punishable offence over the previous five years receives a 25% deduction.

Finally, players will receive a 25% deduction by accepting the Match Review Panel's finding without contest; this is typically known as an early guilty plea. As a result of this rule, players are often faced with the option of accepting a shorter suspension with an early plea, or contesting the charge and risking a longer suspension if unsuccessful. Note that if a player contests the match review panel's assessment at the Tribunal, and successfully has the number of base demerit points changed, the penalty is re-evaluated, meaning the player, in spite of attending a hearing, can still take an early guilty plea on the revised charge

Don't you still get the early plea but the case is just loaded for a bad record.

Goodes won't get loading though because he's only been suspended for 1 match in the past 2 years, and loading only occurs for cases more than 2 weeks, so he doesn't have to worry about that

he'll get 1 week then with an early plea.

Pkbaldy

Z.Jones seems to be playing pretty consistent. Chances of him getting a few games in the 1s this year?

i dont think Membrey gets a game though but Pyke could come back in for Goodes and Titch/ROK for rampe if requried. Cunners/Eski or Macca will go and play back

Unlikely I'd say, Rampe doesn't look to be majorly hurt and Laidler seems to be settled so unless one of them goes down I can't see many chances.

Pyke could come back in for Goodes

I think that's what's likely to happen, although I'm still not really a fan of Derickx it'll give Pyke a solid shot to get match fitness back

Thoughts on Cunningham getting the vest over Lloyd?? Has Lloyd gone ahead of Cunners in the list??

I'd say so, Lloyd has some bad disposal efficiency sometimes but he's better at accumulating possession than Cunningham is and I think Harry's speed and agility is more suited to the role of the green vest.

Cunningham was pretty good playing the sweeping role in the backline once Rampe was subbed so I think he has a bit more versatility
