I'd be really interested to see Membrey and Pyke in for Derickx and Tippett this weekend.

It probably won't happen, because Tippett is supposed to be a backup ruckman but it would be good to see Membrey get a shot for two weeks, similar to how Tommy Walsh got a shot in 2012 and '13

QuoteThere's positive news for midfielder Ben McGlynn, who suffered a knock to the head in the final term of Sunday's win.

Cameron said McGlynn had recovered quickly and had experienced no lingering effects from the clash.

"He got a knock late in the game, so he didn't come back on," he said.

"Fortunately, he's recovered really quickly since and he was up and about after the game and he certainly looked fine yesterday and today."

QuoteTom Mitchell has been ruled out of any matches this weekend after he suffered a ligament strain in his right ankle in Sunday's reserves clash with the Suns.

The 20-year-old is expected to miss two-to-three weeks with the injury.

"Unfortunately someone fell across his leg as he landed from a marking contest and he's twisted his ankle," Cameron said.

"He's actually hurt the ligament on the inside of his ankle and it's on the same ankle that he hurt at the end of last year, which he had to have surgery on."

"He sustained no fracture to the ankle; it's just a ligament strain on the inside, which is a little bit worse than the ligaments on the outside."

"It's probably going to be a one-to-two or maybe three-week injury."

Nankervis 21 touches and 2 goals, still no chance to play seniors ever?

QuoteLewis Roberts-Thomson could be in the mix this weekend after battling calf soreness late last week, which saw him withdraw from the Swans reserves' match on Sunday.

"Unfortunately he got to about 30 minutes of training last week, but got tight right at the end of that so we had to withdraw him from the game," Cameron said.

"He's certainly feeling pretty good now but he needs to get through training later in the week in order to be able to play."

QuoteIn other injury news, Alex Johnson will face another six-week wait before he undergoes his third knee reconstruction.

Cameron said the extra time was a precautionary measure for the young defender.

"The surgeon wants to wait a further six weeks just to ensure that there is no return of any swelling or inflammation in his knee," he said.

"We've got surgery booked for then and his rehab will really start in earnest then."

I dont think so, not yet.

ATM Pyke is No 1, then Derickx, then Nanas.

With Tippett down, Pyke may come in for him. Then its a matter of whether Derickx keeps his spot or if Membrey/Nanas takes his spot

QuoteSYDNEY SWANS

Shane Biggs: Blossoming to make three senior appearances last year, including two finals, illness then interrupted his pre-season and he currently finds himself back in the queue hoping for another taste of the top level.

Jake Lloyd: Elevated to the senior list ahead of the round five match against Fremantle, the midfielder made his debut that week and has since strung seven straight games together. Impressively, all of them have been victories.

Patrick Mitchell: An American with a basketball background, Mitchell is the epitome of a project player. But he is developing in the ruck and registers the odd NEAFL goal with his unconventional kicking action.

Sam Naismith: Nominated by coach John Longmire as a player to watch in 2014, the 21-year-old ruck prospect started the season brightly in the reserves, but injuries remain his biggest issue to date.

Lloyd Perris: It has been an inconsistent first season for the former Swans' Academy member, enjoying some big possession games in the seconds and also going missing as he adjusts to the step-up in class.

Xavier Richards: Given one taste of senior football as a substitute against Carlton last year, the defender has added some bulk to his frame and been a solid NEAFL performer to date.

Daniel Robinson: Another of the Swans' promising young midfielders, Robinson has put in some outstanding displays in the reserves in 2014 and is considered close to first-team action if an opportunity arises.

Summary: The Swans are able to elevate a rookie if required, with Robinson probably the most likely, ahead of Biggs and Richards. But at this stage they have no intention of doing so and only would on a needs basis, such as in the case of an injury.

I think he's right there isn't really any need at the moment with plenty of guys in the mids and forwards knocking on the door on the senior list.

I think the next step from Richards and Grundy should be the next important thing. Guys like Allir, Lockyer and Zak Jones are crucial to get right over the next season or two.

Hypothetically, what would the Blues have to give up to get Membrey?

a 1st round pick you would think, and maybe a borderline player...

Mailman the 2nd

Seeing as he hasn't played a game, 1st round or 2nd round is what would get given (if he was traded)
