I've got a couple problems. Mumford and Hanley out this week.

I'm going to move Hanley to midfield bench, and I'm trading either
1) Mumford > Jacobs
Ellis > Suckling
or
2) Mumford > Hickey
Webster > Jaensch
+80k for future trades.

Thoughts?

I would wait for teams to come out but right now the 2nd option is better IF Hickey plays and Longer doesn't. The 1st option is probably the safer bet but the 2nd option could potentially get you the same amount of points whilst giving you cash in hand.

Thanks for the tips, would like more advice!

Jacobs is a potential keeper with a terrific draw coming up, lock him away because he should serve you well for the rest of the season. Suckers isn't a keeper but will make you some quick cash, he always hits premium levels but often throws a 50 point spanner in the works. Watch his BE like a hawk and as soon as he offers a seamless sideways trade to a proven keeper, make the switch. There is risk in this approach but I see it as a 1 keeper versus no keeper scenario. I realise Jaensch is flavour of the month right now but he's still a 50/50 proposition in my books. Ricky Henderson is due back in a week or two and it's anyone's guess as to how this will affect his scores.

Henderson back soon? According to Adelaide website he wont be avaiable till late in the season so perhaps Jaensch scores will continue. I cant see a reason why not.

Interesting, is anyone of the thoughts that Jaensch is a potential top 8 back?

Sorry, my mistake, need to learn the difference between weeks & months.  :P

As for Jaensch, maybe he becomes a keeper, difficult to say, but I'm merely going on the output of similar types such as Ricky Henderson who averaged 85 for the season. This is about the level I think Jaensch will achieve. Might be wrong and maybe he winds up producing an Andrew Walker type season. Will have to see I guess but I'd still select Sauce & Suckers ahead of Hickey & Jaensch.

Ricky Henderson is listed as 3-4 months away on the AFL website.

Even if he returned very late in the season, Henderson is a taller defender, and would most likely affect Brodie Smith's role more than Jaensch's (who is a small defender).

As for Jaensch's potential to be a top 8 defender? Possibly. If he can pump out some 85+ scores over the next 3 weeks against weaker opponents you'd have to say his a chance. Jump on I say!

Assuming Longer isn't named and Hickey is 100%, grab him and Jaensch and keep the extra cash.

You guys aren't helping haha you're split. Longer was dropped, and Hickey back in, does that change anything for you guys?

Flirted with the idea of Mackie, and Kade Simpson instead of Jaensch late, but decided to go with Jaensch, Hickey and 80k, good for future trades and honestly Jacobs might be a 10 point ruckmen better than Hickey at best.

Fair enough, tough choice but good luck to you. Both options seem reasonable to me.
