Just home from the game and a couple of Observations.

1. Robbo will be traded in in a lot of teams next week - Aish may go for a rest,
2. Umpiring was crap as was to be expected - When trying to rush a behind and you miss it is deliberate out of bounds not paid.  Brisbane only received 4 free kicks in the second half and 2 of those were in time on in 4th quarter.
3. Brisbane lost the game ino in the red zone of third quarter, When will we stop these leakages in red zone.
4. A vastly improved performance but we really miss sauce.
5. Zorko still has it.
5. And finally for Richmond fans really like the look of Matthew Arnot, Nathan Gordon added plenty when subbed on, Lloyd did not look as impressive as last week.
6. On tonights performance do not consider Richmond Top 8 material either - disposal at tims was sloppy, quite a number of turnovers and if that is how you play next week against the Hawks you will get flogged.

Toga

Lloyd wasn't as good as last week because he was like knocked out or was off for a while after Cutler smashed him into Adcock with a big ol' push in the back.

Toga

BTW Gardiner is a feisty mother flowerer, probably needs to be careful with his discipline or won't be making friends with the coaches.

Just watching the replay now (fell asleep last night - well actually I passed out lol) and there is something about Taylor, the way he looks, is it just me, or does he just have a real odd shape/figure for a football player?

Noz

Brisbane showed last night that their future is not all that bleak.

Robbo, Cutler, Gardiner, Aish, Taylor all played for the first time last night meaning 5 of their 7 draft picks have now played. So far all 5 of them have shown enough to have long careers at Brisbane. I still think McStay could be the best of the lot behind Aish. Surprised he didn't play last night especially with Merrett out suspended. Freeman also has talent.

Mayes has already shown he will be an elite player. Rocky, Redden, Zorko are all elite players.

Though Brisbane supporters are going through a rough patch there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Yeah agreed, that should've been deliberate.
Liked the looks of the Lions' youngsters last night, Cutler was good.

Just to answer Noz on McStay - Gardiner is more the KPP Defender so was the logical one to replace Merrett, Suspect he will make for sauce next week.  McStay has not been as impresive as Cutler in the 2's so Cutler is ahead of him.  Couple of reserve games I have seen at times he appears a little lost in his positioning but that will come. I would expect to see McSray giveb a run sometime as Leppa has said he wants to get games into draftees if possible this year.  Probably did not expect to use 5 this early though.

Yes we have a handy bunch coming up and credit to our recruiters who recruited well to cover the losses.  From our team last night Bewick was playing his 50th game and Aish, Zorko, Robertson, Paparone, Cutler, Gardiner, Taylor, Mayes, Lester, Golby and Clarke have all played less than 50 games. So more than half our team had 50 games or less experience so an exciting future.

Edit: Just did a further analysis and 10 of these players have less than 25 games as well.  So experience gained will be great going forawrd.

Yeah he looks really funny when he runs for some reason haha, not sure why.
