Yeah you would think so kb. Petter a slight chance also but yeah the two you mentioned are more likely.

Ringo

Do not mean to be negative to Lions but Richmond now have 23 players with Shane McInerney as one of the umpires.

Yes I'm so glad Lennon wasn't named.

Hope he is next week.

Means he is on the bubble in R9. Perfect downgrade after their bye.

I'm actually in shock that Vickery was chopped.

Like, I was hoping for it to happen, but I didn't think we'd do it.

Hopefully a week in the VFL does him some good.

Axel Foley and Matt McDonough pretty stiff to miss after doing well in the VFL, but it's also good to see Dimma pretty much stick with the same side even after a loss like last week's.

Why was Harwood dropped? I thought he was one of the few Lions that played well...

Doggoneit

The Tiges should bounce back and win this - minimum 6 goal margin

Do not know why HB - I have commented in Brisbane thread that Golby should have been dropped.  Someone had to make way for Gardiner though and with Lisle required for ruck pinch hitting choice was between Golby and Harwood imo.

MTTY

With all the Lions injuries it's hard to see them winning. Tigers by 22.

Tiges should win this but have been playing rubbish football lot of players need to show some desperation tonight if they don't season over , next two games will be floggings and the spotlight will be firmly on Mr Hardwick

There is talk around that tonights performance against Tigers will be scrutinised by the AFL with a view to see if we retain the Easter Thursday blockbuster. Fair enough so may be another spur for the Lions to go with Brownies 250th game and Bewicks 50th.
Weather will be fine and with humidity way down dew may not even have the effect it usually does.

Great night for footy. Just about time to get ready to go to the ground.

And for anyone interested Laura Geitz from the Firebirds will be talking over the Lions Twitter feed for the game.

DEBUTANT'S PROFILE:
Darcy Gardiner (Brisbane Lions)
Age: 18
Height: 191cm
Weight: 85kg
Position: Defender
Recruited from: Geelong Falcons
Gardiner will make his debut against Richmond in tonight's game at the GABBA. Gardiner was recruited to the club to potentially be the successor to Daniel Merrett when he retires from the game. Gardiner came to the club eager to learn from one of the best ever defenders and now coach Justin Leppitsch. Gardiner was rated the best defender in the Under 18's Championships last season.
