I was thinking of going Mumford > Minson and then at round 10 bye Sandilands > Goldstein

Rucks would be set and forget then.

Jacobs has round 8 bye which I don't like plus he only played against Longer today so wouldn't be getting too carried away with his score of 118.

Just a question that probably has been answered somewhere, was the round that just past week 1 of the 2 week injury or are they saying he will be out for another 2 weeks on top of this week?

I'm assuming 1-2 weeks starting now.

Ok.
I was contemplating a strategy where I have 3 prem ruck man, was thinking of doing Tyson > Crouch and Derickx > Jacobs.
After this I have Sandi, Mummy and Jacobs that I can loophole each week, or when 1 of them is down I basically have adequate cover. Ruck division has been where most headaches have been caused over the last few years.
Is this a silly idea or could it be a masterstroke?

Holz

Not even a question in my mind.

Goldy is 530k and has 2 seasons of 113+

Will be back to full fitness soon.

I went mummy to goldy this round when he was 560k and I'm very happy.

Goldy just keeps playing and even though he is I'm bad form (injury affected) is still putting up 90ish.

Why have 400k on the bench? Spend it on F6 or D6

Only spewing thing is that mummy goes up to 600k plus when he plays next, normally only plays 16-18 games per season

Holz your horses.

You surely cannot want Jacobs!!

Goldy all day long for mine.

You are right, it is something that I could possibly do later on in the season if have a good run with injuries in my squad.
I just pray for Derickx to play 2 more games and he contributes well.
Am thinking he would be a required player this week up against Sandi, Pyke would have his hands full against him on his own.

A fit Goldy is worth the investment but is he fit?

Getting close. Should easily outscore Jacobs over the season and whoever you bring in will be who you end up with.

MC

Just traded Goldy to Mummy last week, would you trade back? flowering hate this game sometimes.

Ok Holz, I'm going to trust your insight and plump for Goldy. I had him last year and he was the best decision I made all year, it also means Currie still has some use, not to mention Goldy's trading at a substantial discount.

I just did some calculations on his 2012 when he averaged 90, and after round 4 through to round 21 he averaged 106. Couple that with his 2013 & 2011 where he averaged 113, it's fair to say he's a safe bet.

kilbluff1985

not to mention if Goldy does go down Currie should play

Cox...  ;D
Goldy not a bad call but  I'd probably wait to see him turn it around first... Yep he's had 2 years of 113 but a 90 odd in between...

With the way NicNat is tracking it's surely a matter of time before he's given a spell to get himself up to standard, or even taking Lycett/Sinclair out should see Cox monstering again. He's still one of the best performing weagles, 2nd highest score on the weekend... Has only averaged under 105 in 1 of the last 6 years...

His cumulative record over the last 9 years is 181 games at an average of 106...
