Filthy that Ambrose is out after trading him in, looking to offload to Buckley now that Pendles didn't get the VC score I hoped
What do people think?
Was thinking about holding with Lloyd's game but will prob coincide with me offloading Impey which won't hurt my Bye Structure.
Can't get Matt Crouch next week for the same reason.

Good or bad move?

Tossing up a similar thing felsty, though in my case I'm looking at Michie to Buckley, one benefit to keeping Ambrose is that you do get a free hit at Impey with the emergency loophole, and he becomes an obvious trade for Fasolo next week (though I think you'd be short the cash) or Lloyd the following (Impey's scores are what you'd expect from a slightly built 1st year rookie, but while he keeps getting a game I'm going to hold on him until at least Ports bye).  Personally I'd hold as the cash you'll receive from Buckley prob doesn't justify the two trades (one to get him in, one to trade him out when fattened) as compared to one for Lloyd.

My plan was to downgrade Impey to Lloyd on the bubble, Fasolo is good but I think I would rather stick to true rookies.. Buckley will be a slow burn and I can't really see any other cheap options on the horizon.. Hmm just unsure what to do. I hate having rookies sitting not making money

Any ideas guys? Swing me one way or another

My thoughts

  • Buckley has 5 price changes up until his bye which is more than a Crouch or other midfield rookie
  • has shown he can score well
  • is bye friendly for my side
Just unsure about his JS but I have been told by a few blues supporters that if he plays with the endeavour he has so far he won't be going anywhere anytime soon

Go with your gut Felsty - Just remember it may not be 5 price rises as he is nearing the place where his B/e will go into the positives. Other Question to consider is can you afford to hold Ambrose until he returns as he will get a large price rise as well. Something to consider as well.

felsty

thought about it and i dont think i can hold him. having a bloke not make money for 2-3 weeks is a killing this early in the season

gah this is doing my head in

So in effect you have answered yourself Ambrose to Buckley.
