and im thinking Parker, but would having parker and Tom mitchell in the forward line matter?

I'm a Parker fan so I would encourage his selection, no problem with Titch as well, they both have a round 10 bye which is ideal.

okay so here is what i have decided....

OUT: b.vince. IN: j.kelly - 280k in the bank
OUT l.mcarthy. IN. j.merrett - 65k in the bank

i think im going to ride the wave on wingard this week. but i had a look at my opponents team and he also has wingard, and not any backups. he has tom boyd on the field aswell. who is not playing . so i think i should be sweet :)

That still leaves you having to field JKH, who is every chance to be sub. If it were me, I'd stick to the original plan and bring in a forward keeper, not to mention a very handy DPP option in Taylor.

So to reiterate my original proposal.

Vince to Taylor, 300k to spend and more importantly, you can swing Wingard to the mids and avoid a donut and having to field JKH. I just checked the fixture and the loopholing options are limited with only Cotchin playing before Port. Not ideal but it shouldn't influence your overall decision. What it does do is create a handy midfield link in case Wingard is sidelined again.

Next you should bring in a definite keeper, Merrett doesn't cut the mustard in my book, you need a proven player. With 300k to spend there should be someone who meets your budget. I'd probably cut McCarthey given he has a round 8 bye.

Missing out on Kelly isn't the end of the world, there will be heaps of great mid options coming up, Cripps, Sam Gray & Robertson just to name a few. However none of these will have DPP status, that's why I believe Taylor is a must whilst he's still cheap.
