ADELAIDE is confident "bruised and battered" midfield star Patrick Dangerfield will play in Sunday's crunch clash against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.

Dangerfield is nursing a sprained left ankle and a sore body which saw him train just lightly today.

Danzac

With all the Adelaide MIDs out, he must be taking an absolute battering

Mr.Craig

Just throw him in the pile with everyone else.

Nice post.

Intersting

Theres no one to take the focus off Dangerpants as a midfield matchwinner at the moment in the crows lineup so no doubt opposition teams are putting a lot of work into him.

Ive noticed more how SMitchell, MMurphy and those likely types are getting blocked and really hit hard in games this year by the opposition.

Umpires need to protect them more IMO - its really unfair - but hard for the umpires to police.

Watch what goes on at stoppages this weekend. I notice lots of things behind play (Im not a big ball watcher)

Having played the game a bit at a reasonable level - this type of attention is really hard to cope with no matter how good you are

Obviously Ablett is good at dealing with it, or his team mates are good with helping him out. I have no doubt the suns have put a months worth of sundays practice into helping Ablett out.

Pendles, Watson & Fyfe are just that big - they cant be blocked and roughed up as easy as the mid sized players like SMitchell, MMurphy & Dangerpants

Interesting to see how Cotch goes with this strategy

Couldn't agree more, I've noticed with dangerfield especially and he seems to got little to no support from his fellow mids or the umpires for that matter

Brace yourselves for Danger sitting at full forward like the good old days.
