Hold Caddy, he's still going to make you cash (although perhaps not a lot) which is why you picked him. He's not dropping in price just yet and soon enough Petrie (for example) will be extremely cheap and could upgrade to him then, or downgrade to Fasolo next week when he is on the bubble if need be.

I have both Petrie & Cloke on the radar, the only problem being their round 8 bye.
Isn't that good? Get them in round 9 after their bye by trading a round 9 or 10 rookie and/or midpricer

Round 9 is too far away to predict, they'll probably both be firing by that stage, in which case they'll be awkwardly priced. I think my priority between now & the byes is to get in a keeper forward, it's still an open field at this stage but I reckon there will be some frontrunners emerging in the next fortnight.
If Petrie goes below 400k in 2 weeks, I highly doubt he'll go above 500k by round 7. I'd still be more than happy to bring him in when he bottoms out though, even if he has his bye 2-3 weeks later. Paying <400k for a guy who can average over 100? Yes please.

It's tempting but at the moment I have 17 fit players in line for round 8, I have 4 weeks to turn the ledger back in my favour. If it's a straight swap for Caddy then no harm done I guess, I'll just need to make adjustments elsewhere. But certainly Petrie could be the fuel injection one needs in the forward line, his track record cannot be ignored.
Yeah well trading Caddy for Petrie makes no difference to your bye structure, and there is a very good chance they could almost be a straight swap soon :o

Everyone is assuming, then, that Petrie will suddenly find form and start churning out 100+ games every week.  Sorry, I'm not a big fan of his, has a habit of letting you down when you need him most.

Nobody is stating that, he's a KP player so his scores will flucuate, but I bet his worst from this point on will be pretty close to Caddy's best. What are the odds that Caddy doesn't score 100 for the entire season?

Petrie has actually been a model of consistency for close to a decade, barring 1 injury affected year he's averaged 88, 89, 95, 91, 93, 94 & 102. No way Caddy gets close to these numbers, he'll be lucky to average 75 IMO.

Yeah never said that he'll churn out 100+ every week. However, I will gladly take 50 one week, 150 the next.

jeesh

this needs a bump right now seeing Caddy is the sub. Do I bring in Merrett?

Same, say YES to pulling the trigger

Southstorm

I don't always contemplate suicide but when I do, it's got something to do with Caddy.

I would wait for Lloyd & Fasolo personally.

Impey and Rohan to Lloyd and Fasolo would work alright for me

Not a fan of Merrett as a keeper so I'd baulk, bring on Rohan for this week and hope like hell he's not sub.
