Traded Rohan to Ambrose after I heard Rohan was sub to somewhat sure up my F6 position. Rohan scored 21, which I was happy about however Ambrose was then late withdrawal, forcing me to field a 42 from Impey. Now I hear that Ambrose is out for 3-4 weeks and I'm unsure on what to do. Have already used 2 trades last week and still need to trade Michie (to crouch or Buckley) and then trade to sure up my f6 (yet again). Do I:

- trade Ambrose to fasolo this week

- trade jkh to fasolo this week

- trade jkh/ambrose to fasolo next week and have another week of pain at f6

- hold

Ambrose was more then likely going to be a late out so um yeah :o

Thanks for the support. Hadn't heard anything on the Saturday before the Sydney game, where I needed to trade Rohan, only heard about it around 2 hours later

This advise is a bit late, but use it for this week...

Trades cannot be reversed once the round has started, don't do any trades this week until you have confirmed the players you want are playing.

If its Buckley that you want, wait until confirming that he is not the sub, and then trade...

There was no information on Ambrose being a late out until Saturday night/Sunday morning. The Swans (and Tigers for those who traded McDonough to him) played Saturday afternoon so the trigger had to be pulled on the trade before any info about Ambrose was known!

I did that last week however Rohans game was early Saturday and Ambrose Sunday night, by the time Ambrose was a confirmed out, every other game was locked out

Are you on the Essendon board? I don't have him nor was I thinking on getting him, but I didn't see any doubts on Ambrose posts or info.

was still known he was in doubt most of the week

you shouldn't trade  mid round chasing points anyway the points gained not worth a trade genius

Anyway all that aside, yes I feel for the guys that got screwed with this trade.
However I don't think all is lost. He will be back, he is rated well and I'm sure he will get ample opportunities towards the middle of the season. I can see Ambrose being the Pods of a few years back  ;)
So I wouldn't be trading him.
Also he could be used in the mean time as a loop hole tool  ;)

He sustained the injury during training on THURSDAY, that's not most of the week in my book.

In any case it always pays to conduct trades as late as possible, and if you are just going for league, you have a chance to see what trades your opponent has done before you make your move

I agree with your point, however the OP's trade was done as late as possible as Rohan played Saturday arvo.
