NORTH Melbourne looks set to re-sign one of its two restricted free agents, with key defender Lachlan Hansen saying he hopes to reach a new deal with the club within weeks.

Hansen is one of five North free agents this year, the others being Todd Goldstein (restricted), Leigh Adams, Michael Firrito and Brent Harvey (all unrestricted).

Has come a long way since his permanent switch down back...become a key player and good that we've held onto him. Now get to work on the rest! Pretty confident we'll keep Goldstein, Adams and obviously Boomer, Firrito may be a casualty if he attracts interest, although has been a good clubman so will be interesting to see the tactic.
