LEE SPURR says Fremantle cannot simply cast aside its huge loss to Hawthorn, such was the sub-standard effort effort produced.

The Dockers were trounced by 58 points in the Grand Final rematch last Friday night. It was the club's sixth consecutive loss to Hawthorn and they have lost nine of their last 10 matches against the Hawks dating back to 2008.

"Our effort wasn't good enough and we need to give better effort," Spurr said.

"It wasn't up to standard and it shows that if you're a little bit off in this competition you get beaten pretty badly.

"We're going to review it, and go through it, and learn from it and grow and move forward.

"You can't just sweep it under the carpet. We need to have a hard look at why that happened and we need to make sure it doesn't happen again."

Interested to see what happens against Essendon.

May they touch them up, may they towel them down. Lovely. ;D

Mailman the 2nd

If they play like they did on Friday it'll be another 50 point beating

I'm not expecting much to be honest. Have even put money on Essendon.
Too many key outs for us

I cant see us putting in that kind of effort again.  The likes of Dawson, Clancee, Sylvia, Clarke to come back in to the side this week

Freo have been smashed so early with injury and suspension!
The good news is that they are 2,3 and 4 week losses that wont impact them being there in sept
Bombers a massive chance this week though
