good I think, Brad will be out for some time and Matt managed 45 points in 51% gametime. Tough call between Crouch vs Buckley, the latter has a round 9 bye so maybe that gives him the edge.

Capper

Not good for him but luckily i got rid of him before last round.

Didn't he have a dreadful run with injuries at Freo as well??

SydneyRox

reckon i will hold him a week, kelly too expensive to ride pine. will wait to see how crouch and cripps go this week

Michie out for 4 weeks so he has to go who to bring in

can someone provide a rough insight into how much better kelly is going to have to score over buckley to make it worth spending the extra 80k?

If Kelly averages 80 over the next 7 rounds he makes 200k
If Buckley averages 65 over the next 7 rounds he makes 200k

laidler via dpp?

I thought about that as an option. Laidler or KK, but I think it depends on your current def rookies. I already have LMac, Langdon, Langford and Georgiou so I think I can pass on them, where as Michie is currently my M9 so I need a better M9 over one of those def rookies

Yeah Rico is spot on with those figures, but the problem we always have is that these rookies can easily put it a shower score, and then it throws everything out of whack in terms of potential $ to be made

Kelly seems to be the best pick, but after this round having a 250k+ rookie sitting on the bench is probably overkill. As much as I want to pick him, Buckley and Crouch being so much cheaper is too hard to ignore

I think people need to check how many players they have available for round 8, if you're struggling to field a team then Buckley has to be the obvious choice, if everything is fine then jump on Crouch.

Agree. Crouch wont be ready to trade by his rd8 bye so you need to carry him through that, where as Buckley is every chance to be nice and ripe by rd9 and can be traded in for a rd8 player

Michie to Buckley is looking more or less locked for me at this stage

Lets look at this a bit deeper...

Both Buckley and Kelly share the same byes... Round 9

Buckley - $133,800 - Projected price increase $78K (based avg 43 points) - Total Proij. Price end of Round 8 - $212,000

Kelly - $212,000 - Projected price increase $183K (based on ave 83 points) - Total Proj. Price end of Round 8  - $396,000

Extra $78,500 spent on Kelly for $184,000 return.  (based on the 43 to 83 point avg.)

One would think that Buckley would average more than 43 points, but how much more?
