For those that are in Brisbane get along to the Gabba early on Saturday as the reserves willl play Aspley at the Gabba at 3:00pm as a curtain raiser to the North game.  make it a big day out of footy with Brownies reirement presentation at half time of the main game as well.

Brisbane Reserves were over run by the Hornets after half time on Saturday.

Berger only played half a game in his return match so will be interesting whether he is considered for Senior team this week. Played strongly with 12 disposals and 4 marks till half time in an encouraging return.

Lions were also without Academy top up players due to TAC commitments.

Will post stats when available.

Gary O'Donnells appraisal of Senior Listed Players at end of article.

Comment on Berger repeated here:
Leuey was managed off at three quarter time given it was his first game back after a stint on the sidelines. He needed the run, and was a bit rusty. He didn't seem to jump as freely as we know he can. We're hoping he pulls up well, and expect he'll play at least another game with us before transitioning back into senior level.

Great to see O'Brien still racking them up and should be the one promoted should Reddan not come up although Moloney may have some claims.

Bit late but here is NEAFL Stats v Aspley

Usual suspects at the top and surprised one of them not called up to replace Redden

Ringo

Bit surprised that Golby was recalled rather than Raines or O'brien based on stats although Golby did not play.

Report on the match as well - Well beaten by the Giants.

Task does not get any easier this week as we Reserves play Thunder.  Will be Curtain raiser to the Eagles game at the Gabba starting at 3:30pm if you want to get along early.

Lions went down to 3rd placed Thunder by a point.

review above and comments on Senior Listed players are at end of article. Paine or Lisle may come into consideration for a run in forawrd half.

Will post full Stas when available usually Wed/Thu.

Ringo

Stats for last weeks game. O'Brien and Robertson definitely knocking on the door for a recall.

Paine or Lisle could also be surprise inclusions forward as we still search for Brownies replacement.

Brisbane returned to the winning list with a win over the Suns last week.

Cheers tabs for that

Will put up the NEAFL Stats when available.

Berger also played 3/4 game and will be looking at playing a full game this week.

Here is Lions summary of the game together with the comments on Senior listed players. On Cutler sounds like he would be spending another week or 2 in the reserves before pushing for selection.

As the article says experience returned to the side especially in the mid field.

As usual coaches comments are included at foot of article.  Will be interesting to see if Berger returns to Senior side this week after a full game or whther we give another game in the NEAFL returning him against Dockers in a fortnight.
