Agree but with no lead up options in the forward line he will spend more time there is what they are saying. Also wonder if the interchange cap is having an impact on the explosive/burst players like Danger and Swanny. 5AA normally talk to Footy Ops guys Harper from Crows Thursday nights and no doubt he will be asked about this. I will listen and let you know what he says.

Toga

Yeah I see what you mean mate, same deal as Rocky last year up North. And I think the interchange cap definitely does affect the influence Dangerfield-type players have on the game as well. Cheers mate :)

Just on Wingard if anyone was interested:

QuoteMeanwhile, midfielder Chad Wingard will have scans to assess his injured ankle on Monday in the hope of returning in time for Saturday's clash.

Wingard was forced from the ground in Sunday's narrow loss to North Melbourne and was walking with the aid of crutches when the team flew home on Sunday night.

Boak said the club remained optimistic its reigning best and fairest would be fit to face the Lions.

"We're just waiting to see [the scans] but we're hopeful that he'll come up," he said.

"Obviously he's a big loss to the side if he doesn't play, but the crutches were just precautionary at this stage."

Why not Luke Parker or Jackson Merrett for a cash grab? Parker is a keeper and I don't see anything to deter his selection. I have him listed as an upgrade target. Unfortunately I started T. Mitch over him  >:(

Toga

Yeah leaning towards Parker at the moment mate.

I was also considering Jacko Merrett purely as a cash grab, worth it do you think? I'd probably only keep him for a week or two as I don't trust him :P

Depends who you're trading out? Merrett could be a potential keeper or potential investment whilst Parker is a definite keeper (barring injuries). However, one thing I've notice about these rule changes in DT is no longer about keepers (a 1 week suspension is grounds for a trade) and all about the money (if there's an emergency the more money, the more alleviated you are). If it was after byes I'd say Parker but it's early in the season and this is when players should accumulate wealth rather than pick a player with plans to keep for the remainder of the season while there is still 20 weeks where an unforeseen incident can occur. I honestly don't know, however, my verdict is: if you were willing to take a risk on unproven players... NOW IS THE TIME!!! Don't hold risk picks off until after round 15. At the end of the day if you think Merrett is more beneficial it's the perfect time of the year to pick him up, if you see no future complications with Parker might as well lock him in.  :)

Well Caddy --> Parker or Dangerfield is the trade that I am sold on, I've also got Pav, Higgins and Hunter that will be moved on sooner or later (one possibly to Merrett if I have no other pressing issues :-X)

I've had Danger since the start of the season and despite his terrible scoring I couldn't bring myself to trade him out (Danger always starts the season off badly but once he's up and running he's unstoppable). I'd probably go Dangerfield if I were you

I'm looking at bringing in Parker too, however he did kick 4 goals to boost his score...he won't be doing this every week so is it possible that Franklin could be the better option...cheaper and should kick around the 3-4 goals per week after his slow start?  Not many will be taking the punt at this stage...

My advice would be to wait a week for Franklin, see if he can at least go +85 first

Toga

Well Wingard is out now so won't be upgrading to him this week :P

Noz

Im thinking of bringing in Parker as well for Titch. Then again that trade is pretty sideways.

Danger has dropped in price and has an easy run between now and the byes. SHould see his output increase. I'd back him in

BE 110 I`m waiting until next week at least before bringing him in as he will be almost a straight swap for me

Toga

Think I've decided to wait one more on Dangerfield as well. I know he's got an easy run coming up but would like to see how he performs this weekend. If he does well he'll probably be straight in.
