Hey guys would appreciate some thoughts on a forward upgrade I will be making this week. Going to give Caddy the boot as it seems he won't generate much more cash so i'm going to splash out and make an upgrade to one of these guys this week. Thoughts on these guys or any alternatives would be much appreciated!

Patrick Dangerfield
'13 Avg: 98.6
'14 Avg: 77
Next five: STK, GWS, WB, Melb, BYE
Having a relatively poor start to the year by his standards, copping some attention from the opposition and it doesn't seem like his Crows teammates are really helping him out enough at the moment. But coming up against some of the comp's weaker sides over the next few weeks he could really burst out of the blocks, so now might be the time to jump on?

Luke Parker
'13 Avg: 84.8
'14 Avg: 96.6
Next five: NM, Fre, Melb, Bris, Haw
Really starting to hit his straps this year, had him locked all preseason but decided at the last minute against him so I could afford another premium mid. Was dominant on Saturday with 121, looks really good so far and is who I'm thinking I will get at this stage.

Chad Wingard
'13 Avg: 87.4
'14 Avg: 91.6
Next five: Bris, WCE, Geel, GWS, Freo
Wasn't sure if he would be able to back up last year's brilliant form but has shown he is still going to score strongly this season with a couple of tons to his name already. Probably the hardest draw out of the three in the next five weeks and was injured on the weekend but has shown he is a big game player so this might not be too much of a problem for him.

Thoughts appreciated!

Wouldn`t go near Danger just yet his BE is 110 still and hasn`t been scoring well enough yet to justify his price

Parker is more of a pod than Wingard atm if that is what you are after trouble is I think he`ll end up in quite a few teams this round with Lecca out for 6 weeks.

I think either Parker or Wingard toss a coin I reckon

Toga

Thanks luv! Leaning towards Parker at the moment as I think he has really cemented himself in the Swans midfield, especially with ROK being a bit out of favour at the moment. And if he can keep hitting the scoreboard like he did vs the Crows he will be able to push that 95-100 avg IMO.

Good point on him being traded in a lot this week though, hard decision to make.

I'd go for Parker, have him in SC and he's been good so far. He's a good POD, as many others picked Mitchell/Buddy over him.

As you said, Wingard hurt his ankle and is in some doubt to line up this week.
QuoteForward Jay Schulz (foot) and Chad Wingard (ankle) both left the ground during the game

Thanks Roo, didn't realise he was in doubt for this week. That article seems to suggest that he didn't go on after his injury, can anyone confirm that?

KingJB

He did go back on to finish out the game I'd be expecting both to line up this week! Although as a lions supporter I'd be very happy if they didn't

Toga

Ah ok well that's a good sign for Wingard then if he was able to play out the game.

Just on Danger, I'm thinking he'll dominate before his bye given the teams the Crows will be facing. Do others think the same? If so, I might have to jump on this week even if he is set to lose $$, all about the points! :P

Im going Lecca to Danger in AF.

Parker for me as I have Martin, Danger and Roo already.  Chapman would be in line but I think if you weren't on him at the start getting on him now will be sure to cause headaches!

Good move IMO, so you think Danger will kill it the next month as well? ;)

If you didn't have Danger already who would you go with?

Chappy is killing it at the moment but I think as the season goes on those restings that we're all worried about will occur. Would've been a masterstroke to start with him but I wouldn't feel confident jumping on now :-[

Yep should average 100+ over the next few :)

I'm from Adelaide and a lot of radio talk that Dangerfield will continue to play up forward more whilst there are so many Crows injuries. Having said that playing the bottom 4 teams from last year should be his best chance at finding some form.

It's bull we lost Wingard, Schultz and Monfries (3-4 weeks) because of the shower Roos. I swear I've never seen them beat Port Adelaide fairly besides the 2005 NAB cup

Oh really that's interesting. Not confident he will be able to go 100+ if he is going to be parked up forwards in a losing team, but hopefully if the ball is in Adelaide's 50 a bit more he might be able to get on the scoreboard and improve his fantasy output a bit!

You need him in the middle though Sando!!
