Dangers top score v St Kilda is 94, before he hit premo status so is not exactly captain material.

I know Hawkers, but Langford did a great job on Mundy last week. He's a different sort of tagger, rough as guts and always in your face, none of the soft stuff like other taggers. I know Ablett loves Hawthorn and I'm expecting 120-140 but not expecting 170-180 like he's pumped out before, that's all I'm saying.

I think it will be closer than people think especially at Metricon and I'm cheering for a Gold Coast win. Ablett could hurt them if they don't pay him any attention.

Yeah, his job on Mundy was exceptional which was mainly due to the qualities you just mentioned but Ablett is like 3 classes above Mundy and no matter how great a player you are, stopping Ablett in your 5th game of AFL footy is almost impossible.

Yeah, totally agree i'd be very surprised if he went 170+, a score of 130-160 is very likely though, which is why i'd want 140 from my VC as i really cant see him dropping below 120 which means a 20 point loss max, with a much greater upside.

Again, i agree! I have no clue why people think its an easy win for us and would not be surprised if we went down. Sitting at Etihad with 5mins left in the 4th against Essendon, i had pretty much penciled in a 1-2 start for us and we are extremely lucky to find ourselves sitting 3-0! GCS at Metricon are a huge force and should not be taken lightly.

If no attention is paid to Ablett it will be a certainty that he would hurt us, not 'could'. He will 100% have a player running with him, but its just a matter of whether we sacrifice a player to have one aim only, with that being to stop him. Because its only Langford, we may take this sacrifice as he doesn't have the abilities yet to become a damaging player if let roam free.

I do see what your saying and mostly agree though! What would you take from your VC? I honestly find it hard to see him going under 130, win, loose or draw.

Working arvo shift on Saturday so only have two options. Cotchin vc in to Gazza, or  Gazza vc in to Sandilands if Thurlow not selected.   Cotchin  in to Gazza is the wat I'll go. Cheers.    ;)
