As if you wouldn't contemplate Cloke.. Will probably drop to 400k and be a cheap upgrade from Caddy.

Essendon, Carlton, Adelaide, WCE, St Kilda, Melbourne, WB after Richmond this week.. Could average 95-100+ in that time frame, and remember he does impact games and is a form type of player. Only been 2/3 really bad games, and one average game.

I'm backing him at this stage. Caddy for 2/3 more weeks is decent enough.

In the first 3 weeks of the season Cloke has had 2 Contested Marks.

He has also had 1 free kick and given away 4 free kicks.

New rules in marking contests will kill him as an SC option. Will not consider him again.

You could be very right but if Cloke goes sub 400k I'd be urging myself to trade him in, he represents quite a lot of value.

128, 70, 115, 75, 101, 95, 102, 70, 95, 95 against a run of 'easier' teams if you would like to put it that way last year. That is much better than Caddy who is scoring 80, 70 and then 55. Caddy is at the awkward price where he will be tough to upgrade without trading someone else of value and nobody to downgrade too.. 40-50k to Cloke would be worth it in my mind.

Lets remember he is the best contested grab in the league and an absolute beast of a man. Not every player will be able to beat him one on one every week.. When Reid returns it will get much easier for him

Exactly! Why waste more than one trade when you could get in Cloke for an extra 40-50k. Plus to upgrade to someone good you'd have to downgrade one of your cash generating rookies early or a premium to a mid pricer. Not worth it!

Alright then lads, your opinion.

It reminds me of a few years back when Stevie J had a shocker first 5 rounds.. Averaged something like 60 odd and never got into it much. I traded him in after a huge loss of cash and everyone bagged me for it.. Pulled out a 169, 102, 74, 146 and 156 in the following 5 weeks. Had a few more shockers after that but had the high and low trends that Cloke will score from week to week.

Think it's worth the risk lads! I'd take 120 and then 60/70 every few weeks from a forward.
