So then RD,

Walters - should he stay or should he go now?

Seeing as he still has dollar value (440k ish I think?) I would be trading him now, because another week or two of poor scores means he will lose too much to trade.

I guess I would look at it like this - Do you think he will start pumping out 90+ scores every week now? I doubt it, so I would trade him. He would need to start scoring huge now for you to regret it, so I think the odds are easily on the trade him side

I would much rather have a player like J Merrett at this stage than to keep Walters on. Walters just isn't touching the ball enough whereas Merrett has averaged 24 disposals. There seem to be a shortage of forwards this year who are getting a lot of time in the mids, so if Merrett can keep that role then I could see him being a keeper. Plus he's at the age (21) where his strong performance may be more likely to be a breakout than just a flash in the pan from an established player in his late 20s.

Yes. I must swallow my pride, control my ego and admit that I flowered up here.

And the good news is that if Walters goes, he can take Rohan with him.

Not Wingard.  Could miss up to a month with an ankle injury.  Injured in the 3rd quarter, got ankle re strapped and went back on, but will miss games now.

The other 3 are all good options.

Source on Wingard? Seemed to run out the game ok after he came back on.

The whole never trade premos thing should be more a guide than a rule, and usually depends on the overall strength of your team compared to remaining trades. I still remember the year that Daniel Cross went from hero to spud all season, never pulled the trigger on him till he'd bled so much cash I just couldn't afford to fix the problem. Trading a few premos now we have 30 trades is more feasible, but make sure you're absolutely certain about the trade. Would love to know how many people traded out Libba after round 1 this year.

They'd be kicking themselves now. Lol, there was so much hate after that first game and everyone saying he isn't a true premo and last year was a flash in the pan and then he belts out 111 and 154.

So many on chat get stuck into him, it's ridiculous. He's good but he's not superman ffs

Doc: Even more reasons to trade out Walters now

Mayne is probably in better shape than Walters but we'll work through that
